Unfortunate Reunion ~ Klaroline (ON HOLD)

Her arrival

"Caroline, please look at me...You have to know that what she said isn't true...Because..." he sighed "because I love you"

Caroline looked at him in shock, her eyes widened.

"What?" she breathed out.

"I love you..."

She kept looking at him, but remained silent. She opened her mouth to speak a couple times, but nothing came out. 

"Caroline, you don't have to say anything..I just needed you to know." he assured her. He smiled at her, but she could she that hint of sadness in his eyes. It made her feel guilty.

Caroline closer her eyes, hoping that she would fall asleep soon. She just wanted to be over with this. Klaus's words did make her feel slightly better after what Katherine said, but at the same time...it made her question everything. Maybe she knew that he had always loved her, but she never heard him say it. 

And just like that, she fell asleep with Klaus on her mind. With a small smile playing upon her lips.

"Love, wake up. We're here." he said, shaking her lightly. 

She slowly opened her eyes, yawning.

"Are you ready to go?" he asked.

She took a deep breath en nodded. Was she really ready for this? She tried to convince herself that she in fact was, but the fact that she would be seeing his siblings again scared her a bit.

Caroline wasn't even the least surprised when she saw the house, she didn't expect less from him and his family...After all they were the originals.

Klaus walked in first and Caroline followed closely. It was needless to say that she was nervous, she already had a feeling that his family wouldn't be happy with her sudden arrival.

"Oh, he is back from his adventure in Mystic Falls.." Rebekah said reading her magazine "tell me..how was it brother?" she looked up now.

From the moment she noticed Caroline her expression changed drastically.

"What the bloody hell is she doing here?" she said giving Caroline a disgusted glare.

"Nice to see you too sister!" he said rolling his eyes "Caroline will be staying here." he said sternly, ignoring her angry glare.

"Why don't I have a say in this?" she asked angrily.

"Rebekah" he warned in a dangerous tone. 

"Did I hear that correct? Caroline will be staying here?" Elijah walked in the room.

"Yes you did.." Caroline replied with a small smile, hoping that he would react better.

"Caroline.." he smiled, walking closer to her "nice to see you again. It has been...a remarkably long time." 

"It has.." she sighed in relief.

"And that was a nice time, I honestly don't understand why you decided to ruin it by coming here." Rebekah rolled her eyes.

Caroline tried to not let Rebekah's rudeness come to her, but that was hard when someone was talking to her like that.

"Sister, I advice you to be nicer to our guest or their will be consequences.." Elijah warned her.

"No!" she shouted walking up to Caroline until she was right in front of her "you honestly can't expect me to be fine with this! You can't just come back into his life like this after you rejected him a billion times! I had to watch him wait everyday for a girl that would probably never come, but here you are..So what do you need? Why are you here?" the original spat out like poison.

Every part of Caroline wanted to break down crying, but she knew better then that...She needed to be strong.

"Do you want to know why I'm here? I will tell you! I'm here because I had no one left, Stefan just died for the record and Klaus was so nice to give me some company!" she yelled.

For the first time Rebekah was completely speechless, she had no words. 

"W-What...what did you say?" 

"Stefan died." Caroline confirmed harshly before speeding away to anywhere else but there.
