My morning routine was the usual: wake up, brush my teeth, then put on an outfit. But today was different. The atmosphere had an ominous tone to it.

I walked down the hallway and met up with the rest of the representatives. My eyes caught Raven's but hers didn't seem as happy as they normally were. I was about to ask her what was wrong but Barbara beat me to it.

"Nothing's wrong. I'm perfectly fine." answered Raven.

We all continued eating our breakfast in silence until we all parted ways.

I was in my room writing another letter to my parents when I heard the explosion.

"Make way for the villains! Today is the day you all die!!"

I didn't even bother panicking. I told my maids to go hide and be in the safe house.

When I made sure they were safe, I put on another outfit, my 'superhero' one. I rushed out of my room and went down to where the villains were. I saw other heroes already at the scene such as Batman, Robin, and Nightwing.

"You will all bow down to the mighty Trigon!"

"Never!"

Overlapping voices boomed throughout but the heroes never swayed. I made my way next to Nightwing and prepared for battle.

His eyes widened in surprise but then he smirked.

"Let's do this."

All the heroes engaged and began fighting the villains. I murmured spells here and there putting a stop to a majority of the villains. All the minor villains were defeated until Trigon was the only one left.

"You will never be able to defeat me!"

"Oh yeah? Watch us."

On Nightwing's cue, Batman had thrown a batarang aimed directly at Trigon's eye but as soon as it almost came in contact, a purple aura had kept it levitated then swung it down at Miss Martian with more force.

Luckily she was able to dodge it. But everyone was distracted when we caught sight of who was controlling the purple aura. Raven.

My mind was racing and so was my heart. She was such a good person, how did this happen?

"Raven, why are you doing this?" I asked.

"You don't understand anything Zatanna! Do you really think I'm your friend? If so, you're even more pathetic than I thought!"

At that point Robin had engaged and swung his fighting stick at her.

"Oh Robin, you haven't even seen my full power yet."

"Why are you doing this Raven? You're better than this!"

"Didn't you know? Trigon is my father, and I'd do anything for my father."

Kid Flash intervened, "Just because he's your father, doesn't mean you have to be evil too!"

Tears rolled down Raven's eyes.

"Raven, no. Destroy them."

She turned to face her father then at us.

"This isn't you Raven!"

"It is! This is my destiny! Since the day I was born, I was the one who would help Trigon destroy this world and everything in it!"

"No one knows their destiny yet! Not even you! Raven, you can change your destiny and make it great! Be the hero you were meant to be!"

"Raven, I am your father! Be on the winning side, you know these puny mortals stand no chance against the both of us. Come and be with your family."

"No."

"What did you say?"

"I said no. You may have created me but you are not my father! A father is someone who raises you. They encourage you to be the best you can be. A father would show me love. You never did that, but those people right there? They did everything they could to make me feel like family. I'm done being controlled by you. Being good makes me happy. Being evil is awful and I don't want to live a miserable life. I actually like my friends. With this spell I banish you to another realm! Azarath Metrion Zinthos!"

With that Raven collapsed and a purple jewel appeared on her forehead.

Batman went to go pick her up.

"We'll take care of her. Thank you everyone for helping eliminate the threats."

All the heroes disappeared in a flash and I began making my way back to my room.
