Philosomeme #2 (Undertale)

In some areas of the Undertale fandom, it seems implicitly agreed upon that monsters don't need restrooms, as none of the houses in the game seem to have them and some monsters don't seem to be able to eat food, at least in the same way as humans. As such, the meme above may have multiple meanings.

---

If there are no restrooms, then restrooms are not needed.

If restrooms aren't needed, then there is no waste.

Food is processed by the body into waste.

If there is no waste, then there is no food (assuming that food is processed the same way).

Therefore, if restrooms aren't necessary, food is also not necessary.

If food is not necessary, food is not a check on population growth.

If there is more space to inhabit, physical space is no longer a check on population growth.

If there are few or no checks on population growth, the population of monsters is free to grow relatively unchecked.

Given these circumstances, how will freeing the monsters affect the human population on the surface?

Were the monsters nearly driven extinct and forced underground because their population was pushing humans to extinction?
