Magbabago kaya ang perspective ko sa kanila kapag nalaman ko ang takbo ng mundo nila? I doubt it. With the knowledge I've gained this past month, the only vampire I was comfortable interacting with was Mia. But still, it won't hurt to know more. Pero kailangan bang dito talaga?

"Carly, pwede bang bumalik na tayo? Ayoko na rito," pagpupumilit ko pero hindi ako makaalis dahil sa mahigpit na pagkakahawak niya sa kamay ko.

"Malapit na tayo," sagot niya nang hindi man lang ako nilingon.

Nilingon ko ang gate at nakitang palayo na kami nang palayo sa entrance nitong sementeryo. She's pulling me deeper into the cemetery and it's starting to creep me out.

Bakit ba kasi may sementeryo rito?

"Saan ba kasi tayo pupunta?"

"Basta..."

Sunod-sunod akong nakaapak ng tuyong dahon at may mga nalaglag na sanga rin galing sa puno. Kinikilabutan ako sa mga nadaraanan naming tombstone, kaya todo iwas ang ginagawa ko. We finally stopped at a spot with enough shade and Carly didn't waste a second to sit, then she patted the space next to her. "Upo ka."

We're in a clear part of the forest with no tombstones in sight under a huge tree. Nag-aalangan pa akong tumabi sa kanya pero ginawa ko rin but made sure there's a safe distance between us.

"May klase pa kasi ako baka—"

"Wag kang mag-alala, wala naman kayong gagawin doon and besides, kasama mo sa klaseng 'yon si Senri. If I were you, I'd rather not cross his path for a while. Let him cool down first. Mainit pa ang ulo n'on sa 'yo."

Sa akin talaga? She was the one who made him apologize in the first place! Okay na nga sa akin ang walang apology.

"Is he going to attack me?"

"Oh god, no! Naiinis lang siya sa 'yo kaya wag ka munang magpakita sa kanya."

"You two seem pretty close," I said after a second of staring at nothing in particular. Hindi ko talaga alam kung paano ko siya kakausapin.

"Oo naman. We're family." Carly smiled.

"You're related?"

"Not really. Malapit lang ang pamilya namin at sabay kaming lumaki kaya we consider ourselves related." She shrugged before leaning on the tree bark. "So where do you want to start?"

"Sa simula?" Hindi na naman ako sigurado kung ano ang dapat kong isagot. Saan ko nga ba gustong magsimula?

Yumuko siya at nag-isip. "Alam mo ba ang Pyramid?"

"I know about it but not the details," nahihiya kong sagot.

"Saan ka ba nakatira noon at parang banned ang mga tulad namin sa inyo?" Ngumiwi siya. "Fine then, let's go into details."

Tinuon ko ang buong atensyon ko sa kung ano ang sasabihin niya.

"Vampires are ranked into four categories according to the purity of our blood. So, let's start from the top to bottom. The most powerful vampires belong to the top of the Pyramid and they're known as Purebloods or Royals, but they're not technically royalty anymore kasi hindi na monarchy ang form of government natin ngayon. Sila ang pinakaimportante sa lahat dahil sa kanila nagsimula ang vampire race, at sila rin ang pinakamalakas." Carly cleared her throat, preparing herself to educate the ignorant. "Purebloods are rare, and they are also ranked by their blood, power and influence sa vampire society. Sila ang nagpapatakbo ng mundo noon bago nabigyan ng equal rights ang mga humans and other creatures at divided na ang mundo per territory. We call them Purebloods dahil walang-halong iba and blood nila. You see, vampires are not immortals and we can stop aging whenever we want to. Kaya mo kayang tantiyahin ang edad ng isang vampire lalo na ang Purebloods. But there are Purebloods who chose to grow old and die because they believe there is nothing in this world for them," she explained.
