"Okay, let's see" Temari said, starting the meeting. "The Uchiha has declared war on us by kidnapping Prince Kankuro and killing almost all of his team. It is clear that their actions are the highest crime ever committed in a long time against us.."

"May I question something" asked one of the council men. "If this is a Sunagakure's meeting why is the Hyuga princess here?" Hinata flinched and lowered her head.

"She may be Hyuga but she will take part in the war since her clan is our best ally at the moment" Temari said serious.

"Best ally?" said another man. "I'm sorry but how can an already defeated clan be our best ally in a moment like this?"

"She brought us the cursed pearl" replied another.

"But still, we'll need more then just a pearl!!"

"Are you questioning my strategies sir?" asked Temari while giving him a deadly glare. "If you insist, then show us your plan.."

"M-My lady... with all due respect. I think you're relying too much on the Hyuga's abilities. She has no kingdoom or people with her with the same eyes who can serve us as soilders.." he said.

"People like you shouldn't be in the council" Temari snapped. "I respect your opinion but clearly you seem to not understand the situation. She's here because she knows very well the Uchiha's policies. A person like her is vital to our strategies. Futhermore, she must be in our reunions regarding the war. Understood?"

Nobody said a word, Temari eyed each one of the men before continuing with the plan. "Good. This is the plan. We will set a rescue team for Kankuro and all of our allies. They will enter the castle while Gaara and Hinata have a diplomatic meeting with the Uchihas."

Gaara looked at her sister. "What will that meeting be about?"

"Delaying the upcoming war and a possible exchange." she replied. "Hinata, you'll be with him."

"Me?" she said.

"Wait!! We're not allowing that! There are not suitable succesors in case somethig happens to the Kazekage." yelled one of the men.

"It's too risky" said another one.

"Hold it, but what we will be exhanging?" Hinata asked while Temari smirked.

"The pearl" she said. "Itachi's on our side so he'll protect it until the lands assemble and decide to join us."

"But what if they don't?" asked one of the men. Hinata stood up confidently.

"I'll give myself to them" she said while Gaara turned around to see her surprised.

"You don't have to do that" he said.

"The Uchihas need a sucessor too and while I was there, they made me get engaged to Sasuke-san" she said. "Of course, that was before I ran away. If nothing goes according to plan, I'll give myself to them and stop them from using the pearl until the lands assemble..."

"That...that may happen in a long time Hinata. If that happens, the possibilities of getting your clan back are minimal" Temari said.

"Even if they're minimal, bringing peace and justice to all the lands is more important" she said.

Temari glanced at Gaara before speaking. She was worried that her plan might not get completed. She knew it was risky, but she didn't expected her to stand up and act as firm and polite as what she is, the heir of the Hyuga clan.

She sighed, "Once the lands assemble and join us, we'll be able to defeat the Uchihas and brig peace. That's the plan I got. Any questions?"

Nobody spoke so they dismissed the reunion.

"Hinata" Gaara said once Temari and the council left the room. "Why you did that?"

"I just came up with a plan B. It might not happen if Temari's plan goes well" she said.

"In that case.." Gaara said. He knew she won't change her mind, but he couldn't allow to let her go so easily and let her gp back to the Uchihas, even if it were for a fake marriage.

"Gaara-kun?" Hinata asked confused.

"Marry me.." he said. "This is so sudden but I won't give you away to them. I really really hope that doesn't happen but if it does..."

He hugged the Hyuga tightly. "If it does at least let me make sure you'll be mine first.."

Hinata higged him back, almost crying. "I will always be yours Gaara. No matter what happens, I'll love you 'till the end of time."
