Part 24

The Queen entered Karin's room unexpectedly, surprising the red head.

"Your majesty!" Karin gasped.

"Is it true?" she asked serious.

"What?"

"Is it true that you healed the Hyuga princess before she died? That you knew about the stealings and the Hyugas escape?" she asked anxious.

"M-My lady, that must be a-"

"ANSWER ME!!! IS IT TRUE?!?!?" Mikoto yelled while grabbing Karin's arms. "Is it true that you helped your cousin?!?! Is it true that you are a traitor?!?"

Karin started sobbing in fear of what the Queen may do to her. Mikoto saw her closely and released her in shock.

"So, it's true..." she said while turning away. "You are nothing than just a bunch of traitors!"

"Your majesty please understand! We couldn't stand your methods of torturing and-"

"You betrayed us!!! You metrayed me!!!" she yelled back at the red headed girl. "Guards!! Take her to jail!!"

"What?!? Please!!! My lady!!" Karin protested in vain, the guards had already appeared and took her away.

Mikoto saw how the red head was draged away by the guards and when they left she fell on the floor and cried silently as many memories ran trough her mind.

*Flashback* (Part 2)

"Don't you see it Fugaku?! Keeping this war with them for the pearl is pointless!!" said Mikoto.

"If we surrender to them our reing will be pointless!!" he replied. "My dear,we've been in the shadow for too long. It's time to bring justice to our lands."

"By keeping the war with them..." she said while lowering her head. Fugaku came close to her and kissed her forehead.

"It's the right choice, Mikoto."

That night at the Uzumaki palace, Kushina and Minato were having a meeting with the Uchihas.

"I demand you give us back what's ours." Fugaku said.

"The pearl must be under our protection. We are the only ones capable of sealing it's power." Kushina said.

"It is for the greater good Fugaku. Many lands had agreed on giving us the pearl to protect it." Minato added.

"That seems more like you didn't took our proposal"

"Your power isn't strong enough to protect it!"

"How dare you insult me!!"

"Enough!!!" yelled Kushina, stopping the fight between both men. "The lands have assembled and made a decision. We will seal and protect the pearl from anything and anyone who decides to posses it at any cost"

"Then it's decided" Fugaku said while turning and leaving the place. "This war will only end in one way."

"Your hatred has gone too far Uchiha" added the red head.

"And your stubborness will bring your dinasty to an end, Emperess" he said while leaving.

Later that night, Mikoto went to the Uchiha borders to meet her one true love. She was scared of what she heard from her husband. The invasion was gonna start and she knew she had to do something before it's too late.

"Kushina.." she murmured. "Are you there?"

"What have you called me for Mikoto?" she replied while appearing behind her. "My your hair's gotten longer -ttebane!"

Mikoto kissed the red head with all the passion she had. Once she was out of air she broke the kiss. "Kushina, you need to leave"

"What?"

"Take your son, your nephew and leave your lands. Fugaku will attack your village." Mikoto begged.

Kushina looked at the raven girl before turning around in shock. She knew this day will come but she didn't expected it to be this soon.

"Mikoto...I can't. I have a family and a kingdoom to protect." she said.

"No Kushina!! Trust me this isn't a simple attack, they doubled the number of soilders. There's no way you could defeat them!" Mikoto said between tears.

"The lands have made a decision Mikoto. I must give value to it." she said while leaving. "I...I guess this is a good bye.."

"No! Kushina wait!! Kushina wait please I beg you stay with me" Mikoto said while crying. "There could still be a chance for us. Maybe I-"

"There is no chance dattebane!!! Mikoto stop it you're obsessed. We are married now and we have children! I can't turn my back on Naruto now. You can't turn your back to Itachi and Sasuke. Please..."

Kushina caressed her face. "Please understand...it just can't be"

The red head got free from Mikoto's arms. "I'll see you in another life my love" then she left.

Then hours later she went to the window of her room an watched how the entire lands of the Uzumaki clan were on fire. Screams of soilders and cries of people echoed the whole place.

Mikoto looked horrified at the scene. Tears fell through her face as she knew that by this time everyone of the Uzumaki clan was either dead or captured.

"Kushina.." she said.

Later on, the Queen rushed to the main hall were his husband came back with all the prisoners.

"Fugaku! What happened?" she said as she saw the look of frustration in his husband eyes.

"The pearl wasn't there. That Minato teletransport it somewhere else..." he said serious.

Mikoto's face stood still. "So you managed to kill the clan?"

"Hn." he replied. "This are the only two survivors. They may be of our help when they unleashed their habilities."

Mikoto looked down at the two small kids. The girl had short red hair and wore glasses while the boy had blond hair and whiskers in his face.

"Who are you?" she asked to both boys.

"I...I am Karin" the girl said while trembling.

"And I'm..." the boy said while shutting his eyes nervously. "Uzumaki Naruto dattebayo!"

Mikoto stared at both kids, lost in her thougths. "Take them away, tomorrow I'll see what to do with you.."

*End of Flashback* (Part 2)

"Kushina..." Mikoto murmured. "Karin...Naruto..." Then she started to laugh histerically.

"I shall take revenge on them....on everyone...I shall conquer the pearl, bring justice and whipe away all the cursed souls that lives in this world..."
