It was decided that all of us going and our own cars would cause too much attention in an empty parking lot, so Mark and Ed decided to bring their motorcycles, which they could hide behind trees, Jess and the rest all went in 1 vehicle, it was quite a squishy ride.
Mark, Ed, Bell, and I all lucked out, Bell and Mark rode on 1 bike, I was on the back of Ed's, leaving Tom, Jess, Noah, Cloud, Sky and Matty, all in 1 vehicle, thank god Jess and Tom have a van, I felt kind of bad for Noah and Cloud, but knowing Cloud, he'd find this fun and his cousin's annoyance to be funny, I figured with Noah, that this was payback for burning me with silver, payback's a bitch.
When we arrived on campus, Ed, Mark, Bell and I all put the bike's in a patch of shrubbery just beyond the far end of the parking lot, hiding the bikes, Jess and the rest parked the van in the farthest corner, out of sight from anyone driving towards campus, when everyone piled out of the van, they all had to stretch, except for Cloud, who jumped up and took off at a run, slugging Mark in a gesture of camaraderie, "dude, I call riding with you on the way back, your bike is sick!".
Bell elbowed me playfully in the arm, " if he's riding with Mark on the way back, then I'm riding with Ed" I elbowed her back " not a chance", as expected, the campus was empty, not a soul in sight, perfect for our needs.
The last to exit the car was Noah, Jess, and Tom, waiting for the 3 to exit the vehicle, we notice the sound of somebody sobbing uncontrollably, Jess, for a moment I could feel my heart pounding, wondering what the hell was going on, had she gone into labor early? had something happened? I was surprised to see Jess crying her eyes out in Noah's arms, and Noah looks like he was in shock.
Tom stood with his face in 1 hand, shaking back and forth, both Bell and I walked over cautiously in case we said or did anything that would make it worse, "Jesse?" Bell asked and she made a muffled sound that we took as a "what?",I looked up at Noah and he gave me a pleading look, he begged with his eyes to get her off of him, and as sadistic as the sounds, it made me smile to see him panic.
"What's wrong Jess?" Bell asked prying her soon-to-be sister off of Noah, she sniffled and rubbed her nose "we passed by a dead raccoon, and it made me sad" Tom let out a loud sigh "the KFC commercial makes you sad" she let out another sob and cried "so many chickens!" being mated to another mail, I have realized that an upside to this, is being as both partners are male, there is no chance of pregnancy hormonal imbalance craziness.
Jess had to take a minute to compose herself, taking 1 last sniff and pulling away from Bell, she looked over to Noah "sorry about that, you were just the closest person to me" he smiled sympathetically but still clearly feeling a little awkward "no problem" he said, then came close to my ear when she looked away "never leave me alone with these people again" I tried to muffle a laugh with my hand and shook my head "good luck with that".
"Right then" Cloud said "from the looks of it, we have a lot of ground to cover, it'd be best if we get a vantage point far enough away that the person in the tree" he said pointing over to Jess " can still see the roof of..." he waved his hand up towards a building "whatever is in there" he said and I looked up to where he's pointing "art and music" he scrunched up his nose, and I had to raise an eyebrow "you're a comedian, and that's a form of entertainment, which is an art " "yeah, but I make people laugh, half the stuff that comes out of there is God awful" can't argue with that, half the time after walking down that Hall I had a splitting headache, too many Sharp violin notes.
"Anyways" he said turning his back to the woods "your town is a bit of a half bowl, crater shape" he said "there's a big mountain ledge facing the north that surrounds to the east and west but completely goes into flat ground in south" he paused " I gotta hand it to you, this place is ideal" "how so?" Sky ask "the mountain will act like sort of a wind breaker, sending most of the wind east and west, the woods are on the south side of the town, if any wind comes in this direction, it would blow our sent away from the wolves, so they won't be able to detect us and giving us the element of surprise, as long as we keep then up wind" "clever" Tom said.
