Brielle and Adam gazed at eachother, grinning. They swam to the dock laughing together before racing to the elegant crystal palace in bare feet. As they reached a side door Adam stopped. He could see the sycamore color glimmering brightly in Brielle. Without thinking, he took her hand. He saw her smile to the ground. Could she be anymore adorable? Slowly he turned to face her and hold the other hand. Her hands felt cold in his because of the lake but the warmth in his heart grew stronger with every contact given. This was it, he was going to kiss her, no distractions this time. He closed his eyes the closer he got. His desire grew stronger. Just a kiss, with her, right now...'Oh there you are!' It was Lasky, appearing at the door with a glint of annoyance in her eyes. Defeated, he stepped back awkwardly as Brielle was whisked away once more to the ballroom.

'Fancy that miss, Adam liking you an' all' said Lasky, marching at such a pace down the pearly corridoor.

'Yes, it is quite suprising isn't it?' Brielle stammered. Adam liking her? He could had been the only one who did!

'If you ask me miss i believe its a strong match if its not too bold to say.'

'No..no..not at all,' she lied.

Dinner was much like lunch where silence was the sound except the sounds of violins and harp in a trancing lullaby. They had turkey and pork with veg all different colours and sizes unlike the ones back in Easthill. Brielle picked out some an alien vegtable of scarlett jewel cubes until Phillip, Adam's father spoke up; 'It must be hard for you..eating your own species.'

'Excuse me?' Brielle blushed. What was he saying?

'I understand you have a power, a gift much like that can help you..transform.' There was a long stunned pause.  'Okay, run for me in this hall and i'll prove to you whose right.'

Contiously Brielle stood, her body shaking. What was she to do? The hall, lined glistening rich gold with stars and the constellations dancing on the painted ceiling was a long enough running distance but what did she need to do? She looked toward where Adam sat oppisite her. He nodded, as confused as she was. Taking a breath Brielle faced the ballroom. She could do this. Before she could think she had her hair streaming behind her, her eyes tearing up with speed. When she ranaway. As her speed eloped her the more she rose above the ground. Her eyesight, became sharper.

'Yes, yes this is what i was telling you!' Said Phillip as if he was right beside her. As she did a few more circits of the hall she heard Adam gasp in astonishment. 'Woah!' What was happening? She was just running wasn't she? Confused she twisted herself to gaze into the clear ceiling, the sky was a midnight velvet now twinkling with precious jewels. A snowy owl was floating outside copying her every move. When she lifted her right arm it lifted its starboard wing in return. She stuck her tongue out, it did the same. It wasn't until Brielle started turning horizontally in the air, twirling, twirling, twirling so elegantly she caught glimpse of the vision Adam could see from below. White feathers. Caramel beak. Talons. The snowy owl..the snowy owl was her!

She starting twirling to the ground, twirling, twirling, twirling until she saw Adam. Her heart melted. Within that very instance she felt her feet again. Her human feet. Adam hugged her. His scent filled her nose until she felt she could hold him there forever. They broke apart. 'My my my my! I do believe we have a new beauty in our midst.' Said Phillp rising from his seat, clapping as he did so. Unsure how to feel Brielle sat down in her seat again.
