A pure lavender and woodsmoke scent filled Brielle's nose with the sense of home. Her eyes secured in sleep, the soft silky cover entwinened around her snow like body. A slowed heartbeat echoed in her ears whilst she held Adam close. 'Morning,' she muttered, her mouth as sleepy as she was. He didnt reply. Oh God Oh God Oh God She thought. She sat up in fear but only to see his chest rising and falling. He was okay, he hadn't left her. He loves me the spark sizzled down Brielle's spine. Her white underdress clinged to her skin whilst Adam wore his white shirt and tanktop with black trousers. She shook her head. Shaking off her tired eyes she reached for her sea silk nightgown, her coal hair cascaded over it as she decided to go downstairs.
She didn't even reach the grand hall when she heart some muffling below. Sitting on the staircase she allowed herself to panic so her owl senses could eat her whole. It was after this she realised the voices belonged to Sunset and an unknown. 'Sunset, i do believe we need to discuss our peace treaty.' Male. Possibly widowed by his husky choked tone. 'I believe my daughter Snowdrop will be the perfect match for young Adam.'
'I'm sorry Duke but i'm afraid Adam's heart is taken to another.' Air chilled down Brielle's spine as the Duke considered this. Brielle felt every muscle tense.
Sunset, i come from the distant kingdom in the woods from which you appointed me after becoming the first carpenter after your husband. Please, my daughter deeply admires Adam and i wish the best for her. Surely you understand?'
'I do Duke but it would be wrong to pair Snowdrop with someone who doesn't love her anyway.'
'Then do something about it!' He snapped. 'Your son has a duty so make sure he does it!' The door slammed. Adam must had knew that he would have to marry, more than likely a betrothal and he had no sense to tell her?! Was he really this willing to lose her so quickly?
Brielle raced up the staircase almost flying with speed. She couldn't of course. The locket held her back. She collapsed outside the bedroom doorway. Why was this happening? Did Adam really love her?

'Hey' came the butter melting voice behind her. She just stared not knowing what to say. He would've told me. Rain as cold as ice layered her beautiful summer eyes. A jolt of electricity burst through Adam of panic. 'Brielle? What's wrong?' He sat down beside her.
'You knew. You knew you'd have to marry. It's part of who you are. It's your duty.'
'Marry? Brielle what's this all about? You know the only girl i would marrry is you right?'
'I used to.' The Snow White walked down the aisle of black petals. 'I never loved you. Leave Summerfay, leave me! LEAVE ME!' The dream! It was a warning of her fate to Adam! He was all act and she was just another girl. 'That was before i knew you were betrothed.'
'Betrothed? To who?'
'You know very well who! THE DUKE'S DAUGHTER! SNOWDROP!'
'Duke of Gold? Oh Snowdrop? She's just a friend..'
'You knew then?! You knew and didn't think once to tell me! Am i just another girl to you? Another girl just to pick up and let down?!'
'Brielle! No, this can't be right. Trust me i never knew. I never ever want to lose you, I love you Brielle.'
'No you don't.' I have to leave, she decided
