'So, do you come down here often?' Brielle asked as they strolled round Crystal Lake. Lunch had been quiet and awkward. It was good to speak again. Without any thought Brielle would had said it was like a giant pond in Easthill but if she looked closer the water was so clear it was as though stars danced above the shimmering surface. Beauiful. 'Most of the time, to clear my head or read.'
'Read? I did that at home in an old willow tree.'
He chuckled. 'Yeah well i was pretty lonely. My parents thought i wasn't right to take their place. They were right though. I had no friends i just preferred the beauty of life and nature...until you.'
Brielle swore if she caught her breath anymore she would faint. Did Adam just confess his feelings for her? Could she fallen in love with him too? 'Nobdy liked me. There was people to be friends with but they thought i was..strange.'
'Can't think why' He grinned, his chocolate eyes sparking.
'I stuck with my sister but shes less stranger than me i guess, she knew mum less too.'
'Your mum?'
'She died when i was little of heart attack, i saw it all.' Adam appoligised. She couldn't think about this now! So she changed to an easier subject; 'What about you? Have you been restricted all your life?'
'Yes..until you fell into my life, fancy a dip?' They had reached a small dock, perfect for diving.
'This dress was picked out esspecially for me until i find some more sutible clothes and..'
'Have you been restricted all your life?' He couldn't help but grin at Brielle's expression. His heart melted. One minute they were laughing and the next she was at the end of the dock. She gave one quick look back to Adam before gracefully soaring into the lake.
The water was a luxiourous lukewarm, it felt strange. But good. Then Adam dived in soaking her even more with a massive SPLASH! It was a good feeling. He taught her how to tread water and swim. He almost caught his breath because of how elegant she looked whether she messed up or not. Later, they had a race. Brielle won due to her speed and streamlines but Adam put it down to her being just a quick learner. As she turned to celebrate half his face was hidden under the water. 'How perculiar' Brielle thought. Before she could give second thoughts he sprayed water at her, out his mouth! Out of panic, she sprayed him with her hands! The water fight went on for a while until both prepared to strike with the surface of the water. Brielle striked first, the ripples bringing him closer. Then he went to swipe back but all energy was lost in his arms so he accidently knocked her shoulder. She was in touching distance. Adam saw her pure sycamore green eyes and didn't look back. Was he pulling her? He looked down at his hands. He was. The way he wanted to so badly since he first saw her. He could feel her sweet breath against his lips. Her scent of rose and dewed grass over powered his senses. Will he kiss her? His heart pumped faster and faster. 'What is this angel doing to me?' He thought. One centimeter closer...
'Master Adam! Darling Brielle! The Lord and Lady want you to join 'em for dinner!' Lasky.
