Chapter twenty four

"Wait," Alex said. "What?"

"I already told you you would need to move out eventually-" David said.

"You said in a couple months, maybe a year!"

"I know. But after the whole thing with Liza's apartment, she doesn't have a place to say."

"Okay."

"Alex-"

"No, I get it. I'll call Dom and see if I can live with him."

"I'm sorry."

"I'll take my stuff out of here tomorrow. Or can I not have another day?!"

"Alex-"

"Stop. Just stop, okay?! I don't think you realize how hard this will be for me."

"I'm so sorry. You can stay I little longer-"

"No. I'll be fine. I just don't understand the hurry of everything. Liza has stayed here the same time I was here!"

"There isn't a hurry. You can leave at whatever time you want."

"Bullshit. Whatever. It's fine. I'll be in my room."

"Alex-"

Alex slammed his bedroom door behind him. Liza sat up from where she was sitting around the corner.

"I'll figure it out-" David said.

"It's okay. Tell him that I can find somewhere else until we are married."

"Liza. You don't have to do that. I built this house for us-"

"No, it makes more sense. Alex has been here for a long time. It's okay, really."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah."

David hugged Liza, then kissed her. Alex came out of his bedroom.

"Alex!" Liza said.

"Hey! What are you-"

"I'm not moving in yet. You can stay."

"No, I am okay."

"No, you're not. It's okay. I'll move in with Corinna or Gabbie. I don't know but someone."

"Thanks Liza," Alex said as he hugged her.

Liza called around to see if she could move in with anyone.

Gabbie?

Liza! Hey! How are you?

I'm doing better. I have a huge question to ask you.

How big?

Can I move in with you?

Liza, what the actual fuck?! Oh my gosh you're so funny!

No, I'm being serious. I can't move in with David yet.

Oh. I'm so sorry! Holy shit! I'm so sorry! I would but I had to get a roommate. I am so sorry!

Liza called Corinna.

Corinna?

Hi Liza!

Hey! I have a very big question to ask you.

What is it?

I was wondering if I can move in with you. It would be temporary, but I can't move in with David yet because Alex is still living with him. It's okay if you say no.

Liza! Of course! I would love that! I have plenty of room at my apartment!

Thank you so much! I literally cannot thank you enough!

David came into the bedroom.

"Did you find someone to stay with?" David asked.

"Corinna said I could live with her," Liza said.

"Oh. Okay. I thought Dom was going to live with her though."

"What?"

"Maybe Dom hasn't asked her yet. Shit. I'll call Dom."

After David called Dom, he went back over by Liza.

"What did he say?" Liza asked David.

"He said he hasn't asked yet. He was planning on asking her this week."

"Shit. Well I don't want to change their plans. I'll cancel on Corinna."

"Just stay here!" Alex yelled from his bedroom.

"Are you sure?!" Liza yelled back.

Alex opened his bedroom door and leaned up against it.

"Of course. I'll look for somewhere to stay in the meantime. You've stayed with David while I have been here. It will be fine."

"Thank you," Liza said as she hugged Alex.

"No problem."

David and Liza started unpacking Liza's few boxes. Liza would pull out things that would remind David of a time they were together.

"Remember this?" David said, pulling out a sweatshirt from the box.

"I still have that?!" Liza laughed.

"I'm so glad you do."

"I probably kept it because of that night."

"I remember holding your hand as we walked on the beach. It was so cliche."

"I know," Liza laughed. "But that was one of the best  nights of my life. I remember you giving me this sweatshirt while we kissed on that black rock."

"Remember when the beach patrol almost  kicked us off the beach?"

Liza laughed. "Yes! And then we hid in that weird cave thing and couldn't stop laughing."

David laughed. "I love you."

"I love you too."

David kissed Liza. A few moments later, Alex knocked on the door. He then slowly opened the door.

"If I come in," he said. "Will I see something that will scar me forever?"

David laughed. "Come in."

Alex walked into the room. "Do you guys want to order some food or something?"

"Yeah," Liza said. "I'll order a post mate. Tell me what you guys want."

David and Alex said what they wanted.

Once their post mate dropped off their food, they unpacked Liza's boxes and put them away. As Liza walked out of the room to get some water, she saw a sign on David's door.

It read, "Liza and David's room."
