I had been waiting for Alyssa by the doors of the Great Hall for the last five minutes. I wasn't really worried though, she always made it. I remember right after we started dating, she was quoting musicals for me (which I've now noticed she does a lot since she and the girls watch so many) I love the way she can memorize things like that. Sometimes she forgets I'm there and starts humming along to the songs she likes or feels relate to the moment and then she gets embarrassed in the most adorable way afterwards because she doesn't really like singing in front of people. One of the ones she sang (she explained later it was from a musical called The Last Five Years) said "I am not always on time Please don't expect that from me I will be late but if you can just wait I will make it eventually Not like it's in in my control Not like I'm proud of the fact But anything other than being exactly on time I can do..." I chuckled and told her that line was about her then she got all flustered in the way I described before.

I saw her coming down the stairs to my right with August. I was officially meeting him today. I had heard a lot about him, and seen him a few times in passing with Alyssa, but we'd never been officially introduced. I waved them over and gave Alyssa a quick kiss on the cheek when they got to me, before taking her hand. August gave a look of discussed and Alyssa laughed before sticking her tongue out at him.

"Don't worry" I assured him, "I won't do that anymore." He grinned back at me in reply.

"Auggie" Alyssa told her brother, "this is Albus."

August rolled his eyes playfully, "I know who Albus Potter is, everybody does."

"August!" Alyssa scolded.

"Don't worry about it Lyss" I told her, then turned to August , "it's true isn't it?" He nodded. "So what do they say?" I asked, smirking.

"Al!" Alyssa playfully slapped my arm.

"Ouch! That one hurt Lyss!" I winced.

She paled, "I'm so sorry Al I didn't mean to and I'm trying to stop..."

"Calm down Lyss I'm just kidding. You could never hurt me." I smirked and winked at August, getting him to crack a smile back at me.

"Wanna bet?" She hit me a little harder this time, "that's for making fun of me."

"Does she do this to you too?" I asked August.

"All the time" he told me.

"I do not!" Alyssa protested.

"Do too" August and I said at the same time.

"Jinx!" He said, "you owe me a soda."

Alyssa turned to me apologetically, "he's joking Al you don't have to."

"Account soda" I called out, waiting a minute before it came to me all the way from the kitchens. I handed it to August, "you might wanna wait a minute before you open that. "
