Damien took me back to the Ravenclaw common room after dinner. We had gone to Hogsmeade together for Valentine's day and then ate together in the Great Hall for dinner. He was so sweet. He had gotten me a new quill and parchment. It had taken me a while to figure out what to get him, but I ended up choosing a book on rare potions because that was one of the subjects I'd been helping him with. He said he really liked it. I gave Damien a quick kiss and then made my way into the common room and up to our dorm after he left. The girls always hung out in our dorm since it was the easiest to get into. I swear if Iris and Melanie weren't so pure and nice they would've been ravenclaws anyways.
"How was your date Rose?" Iris asked as I entered.
"Good" I replied, "we did the usual stuff. I didn't want anything fancy really . And Damien got me a new quill and parchment."
"What did you get him?" Melanie asked, sounding a little concerned.
"A rare potions book" I said nonchalantly, "he's always asking for potions help and I figured we could do some together." Iris and Melanie shared a look I didn't recognize. "So what did you guys do today? Besides Lyss of course."
"Why can't I answer?" Alyssa asked.
"Because we all know you went on a date with Al and had the best time and he did something absolutely adorable for you" Melanie told her.
"Not that we don't want to hear about it" Iris added, "but we, meaning mostly Mel, are going to need details so you get your own sharing time!"
"Hey!" Melanie complained, "it's not just me."
"Okay fine, Lyla too" Iris amended.
"But let's be honest Mel, it's still mostly you" Alyssa told her.
"Fiiiiine" Melanie gave in with a huff.
"Anyways" Iris said, "Mel and I just hung out in Hogsmeade today. We did a little shopping and then met up with the boys in the Three Broomsticks."
"Which ones?" Alyssa asked nervously.
"Aaron was out with Vicky, Lyss" Melanie told her quietly, "but Stef and Barry hung out with us. I think Barry and I have decided to just be friends." I could tell Melanie was trying to change the subject since she knew that Aaron and Vicky's relationship was a sore subject for Lyss. Vicky had been the reason that Aaron and Alyssa had lost touch over the summer and almost stopped being friends because she was jealous and told Aaron he wasn't allowed to hang out with the group. Especially Alyssa.
"Anyways" Melanie continued, "we figured it would be easiest to just stay with the boys since Iris doesn't currently fancy anyone and apparently Daniel Kessler is dating a seventh year." Melanie sighed.
"Since when do you fancy Daniel Kessler??" I asked.
"Since he became her partner in potions and saved her at the last second from blowing themselves up" Lyla supplied.
"Well he's dating Samantha Rosen right now and she graduates next year so you'll definitely have a chance Mel" Alyssa reassured her, "I mean, I went to Hogsmeade with him once last year and I talked the whole time about you and Iris (unsurprising really) so he definitely knows who you are."
"He'd better know who I am!" Melanie exclaimed, "we're potions partners!"
"Sorry " Alyssa said sheepishly, "oh sidenote: Rose can I stay with you for part of Easter break? I forgot to ask you earlier."
"Why?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Rosie!" Alyssa shrieked, "whatever, it's just that Al asked me too."
"Excuse me??" Lyla practically screamed, "what did you just say?!"
"Al may have possibly asked me to meet his family over break" Alyssa clarified quickly, "and stay with them, well stay with Rose, because we don't want them to get the wrong idea. He wants me to meet his whole family! What am I supposed to do?? Rosie you'll hang out with me right?"
"Only when you're not busy snogging my cousin" I tried to keep a straight face and pretended to examine my nails.
"ROSE!" Alyssa shrieked again and lunged towards me, attempting to tackle me to the ground before Melanie stopped her and pulled her back to the floor.
AN Sorry for the semi short chapter but I'm gonna try to update another one that I promise is longer right now so yay here is a psych gif because I love that show and also I'm using it to bond but like not really okay sorry tmi I'll go update now
