Chapter 25 Albus

I made my way to the platform, Alyssa trailing behind me and holding my hand as I pushed out cart. Her parents were somewhere behind us, probably talking to my mum and dad and August had practically sprinted to the platform to meet his friends.

"Summer went by way too fast" Scorp said from next to me.

"At least we'll get to see everyone again" Rose chimed in from Alyssa's side. Scorp just glared. I shot him a confused look. The four of us took our turns running through the platform. Afterwards i turned to Alyssa.

"Hey Alyssa" I said, "i need to talk to Scorp real quick. Why don't you and Rose go find the girls? I know you've been dying to see them."

She laughed, "you know me so well. Want me to take the stuff?"

"I got it" I told her, "see you in a few." She gave me a quick kiss in the cheek then dragged Rose off to go find Melanie and Iris. "Hey Scorp?" I said, turning to my best friend.

"Yes Al? " he responded, seemingly impatient and looking around the platform.

"How come you've been so upset lately?"

"I'm not upset!"

I gave him a look. "That sounded upset to me."

"Fine you wanna know?" He huffed.

"Would i have asked if I didn't?" I grinned cheekily at him. He glared and punched me in the shoulder.

"Rose met a guy" he deadpanned.

I grimaced, "Explain."

"At the book store. I guess there was some guy. Anthony I think. He's in her muggle studies class. A Ravenclaw. He helped her get her book."

"Scorp that doesn't necessarily mean anything."

"Of course it does!" Scorpius exclaimed. "He's good looking and smart and when he left I came up and she thought I was him and she looked so excited but when she saw it was me her smile faded just a little."

"But Scorp she's liked you forever" I told him.

"Not enough to turn down anyone else who fancies her I guess."

"Did he ask her out?!" Everyone around us turned to look in our direction. We really sounded like teenage girls gossiping.

"No but look what happened with Damien! I didn't find her in time at New Years so she kidded whoever was close and they were together until June. SIX MONTHS AL!"

"Scorp calm down" I told him, "first of all, everyone is staring at you because you're freaking out. Second of all, it'll be fine. Maybe they will go out. Maybe she does fancy him. So what? You'll be the one who's there for her no matter what, whether he breaks her heart or someone else does."

"Thanks Al" he said.

"No problem. Now let's go find the girls."
