As expected from an extraterrestrial , alien bone structure varies greatly from those of a mortal man .  The shoulders sit high , beneath the curve of a neck considered slightly - too lengthy to be that of a human ' s .  Instead of the ribcage wrapping about the entirety of the sternum , Exodnian ' ribs curve halfway about the softer organs , whilst a protective membrane coddles them to avoid damage in the instance of a struggle , though the ribs vary in length depending on the maturity of the individual . The torso is lengthy , drawn out a number of times longer than that of a human man ' s , though the abdomen and naturally wide ,  bulbed hips sit in the proper location depending on the height of the individual .
