The past few weeks have been confusing. Since lunch that day, Seamus and Eddie have been really quiet and said all but a few words to me. Kevin has been warming up to me lately, with Jakey as his communicator of course. James has been back to his ways, bullying or insulting me with every chance he gets, Aleks along his side. I thought today would be the same thing, even when the morning already seemed off.
I waited at the bus stop, not caring if the bus even came or not. I kept on looking up for something even when I knew nothing was there. Seamus would usually be here by now to greet me, which is the only thing he does say to me now. The screech of the bus' tires were heard in front of me, so I'm guessing Seamus isn't coming today.
By the time it was math, I was extremely bored and depressed, wanting to leave school and sleep forever again. My eyes drifted closed for a moment, only to be opened by the annoying Latino. "What are you doing that is more important than doing classwork?" Eddie joked, talking the empty day next to me once again.
I scowled and ignored his presence, starting my homework. Eddie just giggled and turned my head to him once again. "What do you want?" I rudely questioned him, making Eddie giggle all the more.
"I wanted you to hang out with Natalie and I today." Eddie said.
"I thought you and Natalie were-"
"Yeah, we broke up but it's not like we can still hang out." Eddie interrupted me, "And it's hard not talking to her when she lives next door to you!"
A laugh slipped through my lips. Eddie saw this and smiled. "So, what will we do if I do come?"
"Just hang out at my place or Natalie's. Whatever you feel like doing." Eddie told me.
"Alright, but no James or Aleks?" I questioned.
Eddie shook his head. "I haven't really hung out with them since they made those fake photos and audio-" He quickly closed his mouth, as if he was never supposed to tell me.
I laughed at Eddie. "I knew they were fake! I am still a virgin for your information." I turned my head away from Eddie so he wouldn't see the hurt on my face. "But it isn't like I am still pissed or hurt about that day."
Eddie went quiet, not knowing what else to say. The bell broke the awkward silence as we both walked into the library. Kevin kindly greeted Eddie and I, sitting alone. "Hey Kevin!" Eddie sang, "Where's Jakey?"
"He's sick today." Kevin rasped. Eddie fell out of his chair in shock, hearing the mute boy speak again.
"KEVIN YOU TALKED!" He squealed, giving Kevin a hug.
Kevin just chuckled. "And only to you two and Jakey. Everyone else thinks I'm still mute."
I laughed along with the two. "But you talked to me when I came back."
Kevin looked at me, blush forming on his face. "You gave me back my voice that day." He said awkwardly. I had blush form on my cheeks as well.
Eddie giggled. "Aw Kevy made Elle blush!" He cooed.
Kevin punched Eddie off of him. "Shut up!"
I flipped Eddie off, making him giggle at me once again. "Don't giggle Eddie."
"Why? Because it turns you on?" He slyly asked.
"NO! I just always laugh when I hear your giggle, even when I'm pissed." I said, slamming my hands on the table.
Eddie's hands did the same thing as he remembered something. "Oh yeah! Kevin! Want to hang out with me, Elle, and Natalie today?"
Kevin shrugged. "Why not? Can't hang out with Jakey today anyways."
