Aleks' memorial was apparently on the same night as Prom, which gave me an excuse to not go and not needing to ask anyone. Thank god. The problem was that I was going with Eddie, Natalie, Kevin, and Seamus. And James will be there as well.
I dressed into some semi-casual clothes, all black for the event. Seamus rang my door bell just before I went downstairs, so Aunt Harley answered the door.
"Oh Seamus! Nice to see you again!" She greeted him with a friendly handshake.
Seamus smiled. "Nice to see you too, Harley."
I came downstairs and took a place next my aunt. "Are you ready, Seamus?"
Seamus nodded. "Yeah, lets go."
"Alright. Bye Aunt Harley." I waved her goodbye before going into Seamus' dad's truck again. "Using his truck more often I see?" I joked.
Seamus just playfully rolled his eyes. "Well, it's the closest thing I have to owning a car." He answered, turning on the car and driving away.
-----Time Skip-----
The cemetery seemed so empty this late at night, but that's when someone wanted to hold Aleks' memorial so I couldn't complain. It just pissed me off that I could hear the music from Prom from all the way over here. Its a sad event right now, we don't need to listen to that while saying goodbye to Aleks.
Eddie, Natalie, and Kevin were already there. James was no where in sight just yet. Seamus and I walked over to the three, now seeing James near Aleks' coffin. He seemed to be upset about something when he loomed over Aleks' dead body.
"Hey guys." I accidentally said loudly when I stood next to Eddie. I saw James' head shoot up from where he was, looking straight through my soul with his piercing stare.
"Hi Elle and Seamus, ready for the ceremony to start?" Eddie asked us.
We both nodded, seeing some stranger was hosting the memorial. "Today, we are here because of the sudden death of Aleks Marchant-" He started to say.
The ceremony went on for a long time, with James, Eddie, Kevin, and I saying a few words about Aleks. Natalie and Seamus were the only ones who had nothing to say about him. "Alright, that concludes the ceremony." The man said before lowering Aleks' grave and leaving all six of us to look down upon the grave.
"Wow, I still can't believe he's dead." I said aloud. It may have been a week since Aleks' death, but some people don't recover from seeing death in that amount of time. Sometimes they don't recover at all.
Eddie sighed and placed his hand on my shoulder, while Seamus took one of my hands and squeezed it. "Me neither, but we will just have to deal with it from now on." Eddie spoke up.
I nodded, feeling my light tears fall into the dirt. "I know, it's just going to be harder for me, that's all."
Seamus looked at me, unknown of what I had meant compared to Eddie. "Yeah, but it will turn out to be okay in the end, right?" Seamus asked.
"If the right choices are made, then it will turn out right." Eddie said, looking straight at me.
I sighed, exhausted from all that has happened. I even have been having sleeping problems from the accident all week long. "I just need to think clearly, and alone too."
Eddie and Seamus let go of me at that moment, walking away to talk to Natalie. I heard footsteps come over, stopping right next to me. "You going to miss your little minion?" I asked James.
He growled slightly. "He may have died, but he's still mine."
I chuckled slightly. "You know I helped him go to Heaven, right?"
I could feel James tense up a bit, grabbing my hand for some reason. "I knew, but I wasn't sure until now."
"Well, now you do. So," I turned my head up to look at James. "What are you going to do about it now?"
"This." James slammed his lips into mine again, surprising me with slight sparks. It was similar to what my kiss was with Aleks, the sparks slowly draining away. They would've gone away fully if James didn't pull back. "I know you have a choice, and I hope you pick well."
I scoffed. "You only kept some of the love there just because you need me for your plans. And your words told the same thing as well."
James scowled. "I'm going to leave before your mouth leads you to me kicking your ass again." With that, James stomped off to who knows where, leaving me alone with my friends.
I walked back over to everyone, with Eddie being the only one to notice me walk up. "I'm ready to leave now." I said formally.
Eddie gave me a sad smile, he must have seen my conversation with James from were he was. "Alright," Seamus took my hand again. "Lets go home."
I smiled. "Thanks Seamus."
My feelings for Seamus have not seem to be dying down like they have for James, Aleks, and Kevin. They seemed to be growing even more. I haven't talked to Ze that much since last Saturday, I wouldn't know until Monday. I hope I can pick quickly, graduation is coming up to almost bite my ass.
