It was a few weeks after the legendary night with the guys. They had posted the video from that night, but oddly hadn't made any contact with me since. Even the photos they posted on their social medias with me in it, they didn't tag me. Not that I was upset about not being tagged, I just missed that night and the guys. When I got home that night, I followed them on Instagram and Twitter and even subscribed to their YouTube accounts. Still, no contact.

My life continued as if that night never happened. I went to work five days a week, hung out with friends, and actually began to get ready for college. UCLA had finally accepted me and I finally had the money saved up. I would be moving within a week. My only issue: finding a place that I could afford in LA.

Today I was going to LA to scope out a few places with Austin and my best friend, Maddison. I would be moving alone, as Maddison was already planning on going to school in Vancouver, Canada; where her father lived.

I woke up at 8:30am when my alarm rang. Here's to a new life on my own, I thought excitedly. I went and had a shower and blow-dried my hair. I didn't bother brushing it, my hair was super curly so if I was to brush it, I would have an afro of brown fuzz. I changed into a pair of black ripped jeans and a plain white oversized t-shirt. I put on my favourite old pair of Vans slip-ons. For makeup, I filled my eyebrows in a little but and put mascara on my long eyelashes. I texted Maddison saying I was ready to go and left my bedroom to find Austin.

He sat on the couch eating a bowl of cereal. "Ready to go?" I asked, hopping down from the last stair. I was too excited not to rush him.

He sighed. "Agnes, do you have to wear your shoes in the house? Those things are so dirty and I hate getting dirt all over the floors." I walked over to him and placed my dirty shoe on his leg, daring him to continue. He sighed a second time, pushing my put off of him and walking over to put his dish in the sink. "Yeah, I'm ready. Are we picking Maddi up?"

"Yes, so let's get going!! I wanna get to LA before all the traffic hits," I bubbled.

Austin laughed. "I think you're late on that one. Let's go."

We took Austin's car since I was too giddy to drive. Maddi's house was about a 20 minute drive from our house, so we picked up some donuts and coffees from a little coffee shop on the way. When we arrived at her house, we didn't even have to pull in the driveway. Maddi ran out after locking her door and sprinted to the car excitedly.

Maddison Johns was a tanned brunette with a fiery attitude. She was tall and thin naturally and I don't think she had ever worked out in her life. She was always popular and got attention from nearly every guy who saw her, including Austin. The two of them went on dates all the time. Today, she wore a pair of white high-waisted jean shorts and a white and red striped crop top. At the ends of her long legs, she wore a pair of Vans Sk8 Highs.

I unlocked the door for her and she got in, a black backpack in her hands. I handed her a vanilla dip donut– her favourite. "What's with the backpack?" I asked her.

She smirked, putting the donut on her lap to open her bag. She pulled out her camera first. Recently, we had started doing vlogs and posting them on YouTube. We didn't have a big subscriber count, but we found it fun to do. Next, she pulled out her penny board and her wallet. Maddi always stayed prepared.

We drove the 45 minutes to LA, finally meeting up with the lovely LA traffic. I decided to document the crazy amount of cars. I pulled out my phone and opened up Instagram. I began to take a video. "Craaaazy LA traffic," I said to the camera, "Maybe we should just walk?" I ended the video and put it up on my Instagram story. Secretly, I hoped one of the guys might see it and shoot me a text.

We drove around for a while longer– getting nowhere– before I told Austin to find a place to park. "Why don't we just get out here? We can just skate around instead of spending three hours in the car"

Austin looked at me and smiled apologetically. "Actually Ag.. Maddi and I kinda wanted to spend today together, you know, since she's leaving for Vancouver in a couple weeks. We figured you could maybe text one of your friends in LA and get them to help you."

I furrowed my eyebrows and looked between Austin and Maddi. "Are you serious?" I asked angrily. "I get into the school of my dreams, ask you to come pick out a house with me, and you two decide to go off and spend the day together without telling me?!" I shook my head. "Open the trunk, I'm getting my long board out."

"Aggy, don't be like this," Maddison sighed. "I'm sorry, I just, we've never spent a day together in the city."

"I'm fine Maddi. Have fun. I'll go house hunting on my own." I got out of the car and grabbed my long board and my backpack from the trunk, then began to walk down the sidewalk in the opposite direction of the car.

It had been about an hour since I left Maddi and Austin. My anger had gone and subsided to sadness. They're my best friend and my brother... Why would they wanna do that to me? I kept thinking. I hadn't even tried to start house hunting yet, but instead I was walking aimlessly around a neighborhood.

I sighed. It was hot, I was sweaty, and I had no idea where I was anymore. The neighborhood I was in was definitely rich, the street lined with mansions and driveways with large iron gates. I hopped off my long board and set it on the ground to sit on. What are Maddi and Austin doing right now? I wondered to myself.

Finally, I pulled out my phone and went back on Instagram, taking a video of my surroundings and putting the caption as, "Ditched in LA... was supposed to be house hunting. Who wants to hang?" I posted the video and put my phone down. It was a nice neighborhood, big trees lined the sides of the street and all the mansions had a real Cali look to them. If only I could've afforded a place like this.

As I stood up to leave, my phone buzzed.

'colby_brock sent you a message.' I looked confusedly at my phone for a moment before opening the message. 'That's my house in front of you.' I froze and looked up in front of me. It wasn't the biggest mansion on the street, but cars lined the front of the house that stood at least two and a half storeys high. I looked back down at my phone as I got another message from Colby. 'Quit staring, come inside.'

I stared at the message for a minute before realizing what it said and picking my bag up from the ground. I walked up to the gate and it opened for me. I stepped in, looking around. I felt weird, walking onto someone's property like this. The gate closed behind me as I made my way up to the front door. I rang the doorbell and waited awkwardly.

The door opened and Sam's face appeared in the doorway. "Aggy? What're you doing here?"
