Sam let me leave. The frown on his face showed clearly how unhappy he was. I felt bad for leaving, but I couldn't be in the same house as Colby at the moment. The way he looked at me as if he hated me, I couldn't stand it. It made me sick and I knew it would just dampen my mood even more.

I didn't go home. I just drove, and drove, and drove. I wanted to be hours away from everyone I knew. I drove on until I was out of the city, far from anywhere I knew. I drove for a good three hours before I noticed that it was nearly dark. I looked for a sign of some sort to tell me where I was. After driving a bit further, I noticed a sign. "Santa Maria Inn - 4 miles" it read. I would need to find a place to sleep for the night, so I took the exit and proceeded until I found the inn. (A/N- idk if santa maria has an inn named after it, or what it would be like. i made this up purely for the story!!) It wasn't so much an inn as it was a hotel. A big one at that. I wasn't even sure if I would be able to afford it, but I needed somewhere to go and I didn't want to drive any longer than I had to. I walked in and found the reception desk. A lanky young man stood behind it.

"Hi, do you guys have any open 1-person rooms?" I asked nervously. I wasn't really good at talking to people or asking questions.

He smiled politely. "As a matter of fact, we do. For how many nights?" he replied to me, going into his computer and typing something in.

"Just one," I said. He nodded and typed more into his computer before looking up at me.

"For one night, a one-bedroom will be $260. Is that satisfactory?" he asked. My jaw dropped. $260 for one night?! Who would wanna stay somewhere so expensive? However, I knew I probably wouldn't find anywhere better, and my butt hurt from sitting for so long. I agreed and checked in, taking my room key and going straight to the elevator. My room was on the 16th floor, room 609.

As soon as I entered it, I realized why the room had been so expensive. The bed was huge and looked like a cloud. A mini fridge sat in the corner of the room, along with a microwave and a fancy-looking coffee maker. A basket of different cups with coffee grounds in it sat beside the coffee maker. A huge TV was mounted on the wall facing the king-sized bed. A desk with a spot for a laptop and a phone was also in the room. I entered the bathroom and was even more amazed. The bathroom was huge, with a pearly white jacuzzi bathtub and a huge shower loaded with all sorts of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The mirror went all around the room somewhat like at the boys' mansion. There were two sinks and on the counter were more toiletries. Hand soaps and creams littered the countertop. This was true heaven!

I didn't bring extra clothes, so I just took my jeans off and climbed into bed. The hotel had free wifi so I logged into it using my name and my key card code. My phone had been off all day, so I decided to check my voicemail. Just as I did, my phone began to ring. I didn't check to see who it was. I answered, thinking it was Sam. I just wanted to let him know I was safe and not dead.

"Hello?" I answered, pressing my phone to my ear.

"Agnes!" said a voice I recognized. It was deep and husky.

"C-Colby. Why are you calling me?" I asked. He didn't deserve to be worried.

"Where the Hell are you?! The whole house was looking for you. You're not at your apartment, and you're not with your brother. We're fucking worried!" he shouted at me. I cringed away from the phone.

"I went for a drive. I'm at a hotel now, so now you don't have to worry about me." I said bluntly. I wasn't in the mood to be shouted at by him on the same day that he embarrassed me on camera. Plus, I was still hurt by the things he said.

"Where did you go? I need you to tell me so that your brother stops freaking out. He's on the phone with Sam right now."

I sighed. "I'm at the Santa Maria Inn. Now can I go to bed please? I'm tired." I wasn't really convinced that Sam was on the phone with Austin, but I knew Colby wouldn't stop until I told him I was safe.

"YOU DROVE ALL THE WAY TO SANTA MARIA?! Why the Hell would you do that?" Colby bellowed. I cringed once again.

"Leave me alone Colby." I hung up the phone. He knew I was safe now. There was no need to continue talking to him. I put my phone beside me and prayed that Colby wouldn't call again. He didn't, but someone did.

The hotel phone began to ring, waking me up from my slumber in the comfortable bed. I groaned and got up to answer it. "Hello?" I answered in a sleepy voice.

"Miss Bray, I'm sorry to bother you at such a late hour," a voice said. It must have been the hotel concierge or something. "There's a boy down here saying he's a friend of yours and he refuses to leave until he sees you."

"What's his name?" I asked, my heart suddenly beating faster.

"Samuel Golbach," the concierge replied. My heart calmed down.

"Send him up to my room."

I waited a few minutes before finally, I heard a knock on my door. I tiptoed to the door and opened it, expecting to see Sam. It wasn't Sam, it was Colby. He pushed into the room before I could shut the door in his face like I wanted to. He shut it behind him with a slam.

"Colby, what are you doing here? It's like 2am." I scolded. I was not happy to see the boy with the dark hair and blue eyes. He looked at me in a way I couldn't describe.

"I'm sorry. What I said to you was cruel and I'm sorry. You didn't deserve it."

I furrowed my brows. "If you wanted to know so badly you could've just asked me Colby. You didn't have to say that on camera in front of Sam."

Colby looked down at his hands as he played with his rings. "I don't need to know now. I just need to know if you're okay," he mumbled just loud enough for me to make out.

I sighed. There was no sense in being mad anymore; it would just tire us both out. I smiled softly at him. "I'm okay. I think I'm better now than I was when I was with Warren. I just need someone to help me, I think." I waited for Colby to look back up at me, then shot him a big and happy grin. He smiled back softly.

Colby stepped towards me, his big blue eyes never leaving my brown ones. His face went serious and he stopped just centimeters from me. I could feel the warmth radiating off of him in waves, his breath hitting mine and mingling with it. He smelled like mint and gentle cologne. I admired his face as he admired mine. His perfectly shaped eyebrows hidden by his dark brown hair. His big eyes and cute, straight nose. He had a few acne scars on his cheeks, but I had always loved them. His lips, though! Oh, his lips. They were plump and they looked soft and kissable. He was biting his bottom lip. I groaned internally. Damn he was hot.

Suddenly, his lips were on mine. His hands wrapped around my hips and he pulled me closer to him, so that our bodies were pressed together. Our lips moved in sync as his hands trailed all over my body. He pushed me back onto the bed and climbed over top of me. His hips dug into mine and a moan escaped my lips. Colby smirked against my mouth before letting his lips leave little kisses all over my collarbone. I breathed shakily as he sucked little marks all over my skin.

I'll spare you the rest of the details. We fell asleep beside each other, my head on his chest and his arm holding me to him.

The next morning, we ignored the events of last night. We left early in the morning and made the drive back in our separate cars. We didn't speak much at all before we left, but made eye contact a lot throughout the day after we got home. Nobody was home when we arrived, so I escaped to the garage and he to his room, I guess.

Around 5pm, the whole house got back. Corey brought pizza, so Colby and I joined everyone in the kitchen to eat. We made a lot of eye contact throughout dinner, but acted like nothing happened apart from us making up.

As I made my way out of the kitchen after finishing, desperately needing to get away from the sexual tension between Colby and I, Sam called my name. I turned around and looked at him in confusion.

"What's up?" I asked, furrowing my brows, a large piece of pizza still in my mouth being chewed.

"I see those marks on your neck. So quit acting like you and Colby didn't do anything."
