a/n: zooming forwards a bit:)
It had been months since I officially moved to LA. I ended up taking the other bedroom in Warren's apartment, not that I actually stayed in it. We'd been dating for two months now. School was starting in a week. I was terrified of college, but I knew with Warren by my side, life would be easy.
I still spoke to Sam, Colby and the guys a bit, but I didn't see them often; Warren didn't like how often I was with them.
"Babe, c'mere for a second," Warren called from the living area in our apartment. I smiled when I thought about it. I came out of out bedroom and sat down on the couch, putting my feet up on his thighs.
"What's up, butter cup?" I asked with a smirk.
He traced circles on the top of my foot. "I'm going to a party tonight, I was going to ask if you wanted to go but I know you won't want to," He said. He was right about that one. "I will be drinking a bit but I'll be safe. Did you want me to come home tonight or would you rather I just stayed there?"
I liked that he asked my opinion on things like this. Warren was always supportive of whatever I wanted him to do, although I wasn't controlling over him. I answered that it would probably just be safer for him to stay over there. I trusted him, but I wasn't sure that I trusted his friends.
Warren smiled at me. "Thanks for making sure I stay safe, Agnes. I love how much you care," he said to me softly. His eyes shone with happiness and his face eminated a glowing red color. I couldn't take my eyes off of him. How had I gotten so lucky?
"Just make sure to text me if anything happens okay? I totally trust you, I just like knowing what's going on," I explained, poking him in the shoulder with my big toe. He made a mock disgusted face at me as I poked him.
"I will. And let me know if you get lonely. I'll come home if you need me."
That was our relationship. Cuddling and expressing our feelings. I had had lots of boyfriends before Warren, but I had never had a relationship that I was as happy in as I was this one. Our feelings were mutual and strong, and we had so much in common that nothing felt wrong or uncomfortable.
Though, once in a while, I thought about what it would have been like if Warren and I hadn't started dating. Colby and I had gotten pretty close before, would I have ended up dating him? I would've moved into an apartment or house and I probably would've had a lot less money than I did now. I was making money doing photography jobs and I had a part-time job at the little coffee shop down the street. Would I have had a different job, maybe at a grocery store or something? All I knew was that without Warren, my life would be so much different than it was now.
We spent the day together, as per usual. We went grocery shopping, and since Warren was 21, we went and bought him some drinks for tonight. I also bought some pasta for dinner, even though I would be the only one there.
At around 6 o'clock, while I was making myself some dinner, Warren kissed me goodbye and I told him to have a good night. We told each other we loved each other. He left with a case of beers in his hand.
I made my dinner and ate in silence. I didn't feel lost without Warren: I actually enjoyed being alone sometimes. It felt weird, though. The apartment was quiet without his deep voice filling the air. Just as I was thinking this, my phone began to ring. I expected it to be Warren, but it was actually Colby. (italics is Colby)
'Hello?' I answered.
'Hey. Are you busy?'
'Nope. What's up? Is something wrong?'
'Just miss my best friend, that's all. When is Warren going to let me hang out with you again?'
I sighed. 'Colby, Warren's a good guy. He's just protective.'
'I get that, I do. But it's not fair for him to not let you see me. I miss you.'
'I miss you too.' I heard Colby's phone vibrate through the speakers and he told me to hold on a second.
'Aggy, is Warren at a party right now?'
'Yeah, why?'
'Um... did you want to come over? I think I have something to show you and I doubt you wanna be alone when you see it.'
• sorry its so short:( td was busy
