when i passed out I had another dream, which isn't very surprising. this time i was sitting in the backseat of my mothers car, and next to me was... myself. more specifically, me when I was ten. music played through the speakers and cool wind ran through my hair. my mother drove obviously, and she was talking to the younger me.

"where are we going, mom?" mini me asked.

"it's a surprise," my mother smiled weakly back at mini me. "you'll be safe."

i felt like I'd been punched in the gut. this was my ride to camp half blood. all that surrounded us were small clumps of woods and barns. within the next fifteen minutes the car stopped.

"it's time to get out, honey." my mother said, unlocking her door and climbing out from the car. mini me's car door opened and she climbed out.

"just walk up that hill, and everything will be alright." my mother said, kissing the top of mini me's forehead. that was it. i left without a single question.

quiet sobs came from the drivers seat as the car went down the road at a slow pace. i would've comforted my mother, but i hadn't been able to speak or move. that's when whatever was keeping me still wore off, just as a Minotaur rammed into my mothers car. my body flew back against the other side of the car. glass fell around on the ground in front of me. the car was nearly upside down when the Minotaur picked it up and looked inside of it. i fell back to the back window and watched it look around before dropping the car. my body shook uncontrollably. "mom?" my voice wasn't there. i crawled forward to see my mother laying limp in her seat, dead.

a scream escaped my mouth as i shot up from my unconscious state. i felt a few pair of hands on me, trying to ease me down on the bed. dy and tyler. "aella, are you okay?" Tyler asked. i was too scared to open my mouth to respond, as if i wouldn't be able to talk when i was awake either. dynemia took her hand away and spoke softly. "you're probably wondering how you got from the woods to here, huh?" I nodded slowly. "gabe found you passed out in the woods. you weren't drunk, were you?" "no. speaking of gabe I need to talk to you." I finally managed to say. "not right now. you're not looking all that well." dynemia stood up and frowned slightly. "i have to go. feel better, aella." she turned and walked off quickly to someone standing at the entrance. I narrowed my eyes and caught sight of who it was. gabe, who was also watching me. the two turned and walked off quickly.

tyler remained seated where he was, looking down at me. "you sure you're alright?" i could hear the worriedness in his voice and i nodded. "im fine."

Tyler is dynemia's half brother, and unlike a lot of people in his cabin he had dark brown hair. to make up for the lack of brown hair he possessed bright blue eyes.

i felt his hand slip into mine and i intertwined my fingers with his. "thank you." i said softly. "for what?" he asked, looking down at me. "staying here." the sun was setting outside, unlike the questions in my head. "Tyler?" I asked."mhm?" "don't tell anyone i left." i smiled at him before pushing the covers aside and standing up. "aella wait!" he stood up after me. "I'm sorry, but this is important." i watched him for another moment before running out the open door, heading towards the big house.
