suddenly the monster stopped dead in it's tracks. literally dead in it's tracks, for the beast exploded into golden dust, which left Wendy holding her sword tightly and looking and dust in awe.

"nice swing." I coughed. "what'd you do? cut off it's tail?" she offered a nod as she sheathed her sword.

"yeah, easier than I thought." she answered as she hurried over and helped me lift the desk from my legs. I quickly pulled myself back and stood up.

"thank you. would've been mauled if you weren't here." i smiled just as a crash sounded from outside the somehow-still-standing door. it crashed down and sera popped through.

"is everyone alright? what happened? I managed to put the fires out."

"fires?," i looked to wendy. "they set fires too?" Wendy nodded solemnly. "damn."

later, after exiting through the giant hole in the wall, wendy and i ran across the grounds of camp and into the woods. Wendy's my half sister, and we're a lot alike personality wise. her bright red hair matches her temper, and her grip on her sword could break a mans neck in a single grab. when she wasn't fighting she could be one of the nicest people you could meet.

"what do they want from us?" she asked, her eyes carefully scanning across the ground for traps.

"i have no idea. i think they just want us gone, so kronos can do whatever he wants." I answered. she nodded and laughed forcefully,

"why would you even side with a crazy Titan that eats his own children and soldiers?" she asked. I offered a shrug as a new voice answered.

"I agree. it doesn't make a whole lotta sense." callista said. she walked out from behind a tree, a small orb of water dangling below her hand.

"hi, cal." wendy said and offered a faint wave. callista smiled and waved back.

"hi guys. what're you doing out here?"

she smoothed back her white hair and smiled brightly.

"sure lotta smile for what just happened." I muttered. her smile disappeared as she spoke sharply.

"unlike some people i decide to go with optimism." she responded. i waved her response off as Wendy continued talking.

"who's all gone?" she asked as her grip became tighter on her dagger.

"gabe, ass, adri, elsa, flora, Julianna, and who knows who else." (im sorry if I left anyone out I have a sucky memory) callista responded. Wendy seemed to have made a mental note before responding.

"call anyone and everyone that's still here. we'll meet in the mess hall tomorrow at two." I chimed in quickly, looking from callista to wendy.

"some people should probably patrol the perimeters for the next few days. or until whatever the hell this is is over."

"we'll discuss that tomorrow." callista replied. she then looked down at her watch with a sigh before glancing back towards camp. "well, I have to go tend to the stables. talk to you guys tomorrow." she ran off as soon as she finished her sentence and I turned to wendy.

"she's a little fishy." i spoke as I narrowed my eyes.

"is that supposed to be a pun?" she asked, taking my wrist to walk us out of the woods.

"no. I'm not sure. I'm a little skeptical of everything nowadays." i muttered.

"what do you mean? today was the first day we found out about them." she asked, stopping suddenly.

"I've, uh, I've known somewhat about them." I responded, remembering the night in the woods.

"and you didn't tell anyone? aella!" she widened her eyes as she spoke increasingly louder.

"Wendy it's fine. I mean, no one died, right?" I asked, walking into camp. she shook her head as we headed towards our cabin for the night.

laying in bed at two am in the morning gives a girl a lot of time to think, especially when there was a half serpent-half bull hovering in your subconscious. i rolled over from side to side for hours before groaning softly and walking outside and onto the porch.

"hey dad?" I muttered. "it'd help us out a lot if you could send down some godly answers as to what the hell is going on." of course there was no response. there never was. i scanned my eyes across camp, thinking about the campers who left. why the hell would kronos need help from demigods? couldn't he just get some monster or something to help him? I tapped my fingertips on the railing and sighed. i was too tired for this. I walked back inside the cabin silently, slipping into my bunk next to Wendy's as my mind suddenly wrapped around a single concept.

"Wendy. Wendy!" I whispered harshly.

"wha-what?" she asked as she rubbed her eyes groggily.

"the prophecy. the prophecy was about the titans and the gods." I spoke in the darkness.
