Vic point of veiw

Kellin and I sat at the breakfast table and talked with Jared about his part in the song, deciding if the people who have parts so far should practice separately today and then for the last five minutes we all go through it together. I couldn't help but notice, Lynn wasn't talking at all, and was either avoiding eye contact with me or staring me down inquisitivly. Considering we were making decisions, it was concerning that she wasn't shooting down every idea I had and calling me an asshole.

So, the next time I caught he staring through my soul, I snapped my eyes over to her, cocking my head to the side. "Yes, Lynn?" I said intimidatingly. She just snapped her gaze down to the table, playing with her food.

"What is your problem? You've been quiet all morning and you keep staring at me. You have even insulted me once today." I said, staring at her just like she had stared at me.

She just shrugged and mumbled some half ass response. I rolled my eyes and looked at Kellin. He shrugged. I looked over at Jared next who shrugged as well. Then I looked at Emily and she sent me a sad look and yet another shrug.

Nontheless, the day moved on. For group activities, we had played some rounds of flag football, which was fun. No matter how unathletic I am, flag football is always a hoot. And watching Kellin laugh and smile with his skin possessing a golden glow of happiness and sun was a good part, too.

Lunch was mostly uneventuful, just some joking around and Lynn still being weird. Then song planning, we did as discussed, everyone went to different areas, Jared even going outside for privacy. So far, all we had down was Jareds part, a part after that that was all of us, then a me part, and then a Kellin part, then finally an all of us part. But on me and Kellins parts everyone was on stage playing so everyone still have stuff to practice. Jared was splitting his time doing his guitar parts and drum parts.

As I practiced my part in a corner prt to far from Lynn's and emily (Kellin had opted for outside as well) I could hear emily gently singing along with the parts she was playing quite skillfully on the guitar. I had come to learn she was a very talented guitarist, and listening to just her effortless singing voice, I could tell she was probably good at that too. I stopped playing, looking at at her. After a few moments, I heard Lynn stop. I looked over at her and we made eye contact for the first time that day, both of us sharing a look before changing our glances to Emily.

Soon, Emily noticed we had stopped playing, and she looked up. "Um, sorry. I know I don't have a part singing it just helps me keep time sorry I, uh-"

"No stop apologizing!" Lyn said, cutting her off. I picked up from there saying-

"That was great, like, your voice, it's really smooth and steady. Your notes are crisp and well articulated. And that's just your no effort voice." I said, with excitement clear on my features.

Emily went to shake her head and speak but Lynn spoke instead. "Could we maybe hear you sing Kellins part?" She said, taking a side glance at me. It seems she was thinking the same as me, Kellin had this part at the end of his verse where it was supposed to be a really striking high note. His note sounded good, it didn't crack, it was high, but it didn't really capture you, ya know? It wasn't what I had in mind, though it was beautiful. But I wanted something aguilerian, something throaty, something powerful. Like, as previously stated, Christina Aguilera, or Lizzy Hale, something powerful.

Maybe Emily could give us that. She went to decline, saying, "oh no, I'm not a vocalist, I mean I mess around in my room but-"

"Emily." I said. Grasping her attention as her eyes found mine. I sent her an encouraging smile. "Sing."
