Merry Christmas (and happy holidays) you filthy gays. Here's a time lapse bc I'm a time lapse slut
Vic's point of veiwIt was a couple days later and we had got the idea to video tape us after our warm ups while we went through the song, and then gather around the phone to watch it. So we did, after warm ups and reviewing the song, we went through recording it on Lynn's phone. After words, we gathered around the place the phone was propped on and watched the video.
What stood out most to me was that Emily owned it. I watched her the whole time and she was a different person. Just in a few short weeks we had got her to completely embrace her stage self and find her stage persona. She bounced around lightly while playing and put life into her expressions while singing. She wasn't just nice to hear, she was nice to watch. That, to me, made her a perfect musician and performer.
I also noticed I was the worst vocalist of them all but I wasn't bad, it was just obvious that I needed to work on my pitches and breath control. I noticed how cute Kellin was. The whole time he wasn't singing he bounced around our fake stage hyping up our imaginary crowd. While he sang, he was perfect. Almost all his notes were on point, and he didn't fuck up any words. Kellin ended up doing some kind of backup vocals on most parts so he wasn't awkwardly doing nothing since he was the only one without an instrument.
We all looked great and did great and I was sure this prize could possibly be ours. Afterwords we all discussed what we could work on and fucked around some more. Our song was done but some guitar parts were still being tweaked and we had stuff to clean up , but we were on the right track.

(That night)
I sat with Kellin at the cliff we always hung out at, our hands entwined and his head on my shoulder. The sun had already set and we were just chilling, looking up at the stars. The nice thing about being out here was the stars. In San Diego we don't see that many stars but out here with no blinding lights, I see tons. It's beautiful and I can tell Kellin feels the same as he stares ahead, his eyes glazed with admiration."Kellin ," I say to get his attention. He mutters a term of recognition and I continue. "What are we going to do when camp ends?"
I shift my eyes to the side, glancing at him closing his. "I try not to think about it. I guess we'll be like, mostly over the Internet." He says, his voice filled with melancholy. I looked back out to the stars.
"We Could meet in the middle once a month and go do something. I mean, it's just six hours, not six days. We can make it work." I say quietly. "We will make it work. I really like you, Kellin. I don't feel like this about people very often. I don't wanna let seven hours break us apart."
"We'll figure it out. Let's just enjoy the rest of this month." Kellin said, twining our fingers together. I closed my eyes and memorized the moment, because in a couple weeks I'd be depending on these memories to get me through the day.

(Next day)
"Today were playing dodgeball. Much like when we played volleyball, it'll be an elimination thing. Winning team advances, losing teams go to the sidelines. Everyone go pick a court, I'm assuming all of you know how to play dodgeball. Also, we as a camp are not held accountable for any injuries as stated in the papers you signed and didn't read so don't try to sue us. " the advisor said from the front as we all divided into the five courts where the dodge balls were lined up in the middle. Lines had been drawn in the grass to dictate the courts and sidelines.
