exscuse me?

   harry pov

"congratulations you're having twins!" the doctor exclaimed.

.... umm what? 

  I walk out of the room after exchanging a look with hailey. She looked so excited, i don't think she realizes how bad this is. One baby? ok, but two? How will we pay for them? Haileys out of work and my pay is getting cut down. Of course she doesn't she this the way i do. she's is the mom, she doesnt want to realize how bad this is. It may work put for a while but after that SHORT while what will we do? I can't just leave hailey after getting her pregnant, but i don't know if i'm ready for this dad shit. im only 20! I love hailey, i really do but im afraid. 

   By the time i come out of my thoughts i realize that i walked back to haileys room. I walk in and hailey's crying. I walk over to her and hug her thinking that she's crying because of me.

    "what's my chance of living?" she asks the doctor.

.... umm what?

     "it's your choice mrs. Styles, it's you or the baby." the doctor says avoiding eye contact with hailey.

     "Wait what's happening? What do you mean 'whats my chance of living'? of course you're going to live." i say sounding angrier and angrier as i continue talking.  Hailey avoids my gaze and stares at the ground. "i'm waiting." i shout.

     "mr.styles please calm down." thedoctor says finally making eye contact with me.

     "No! Fucking tell me why the love of my lifef is talking about her death? Shes only god damn 20!" i yell at the doctor.

     "hailey has a rare condition of which she won't survive if she has her children. If she wants to live she'll have to kill the children." 

    I look at hailey, "You're not having these... these things" i say 'things' with such disgust it even suprised me.

     "They're not things, they're our babies." she says quietly.

      "those are not our babies. They"re killers hailey! they're going to kill you!"

      "you'll have the babies as a reminder of me though."

      " i will never love those things! Not if they kill you!" i practically scream.

     "Harry please. You will love them, because they'll be all you have left of me. whatever you do to them will be like doing it to me." she says and finally looks up at me. "If you kill them you would've taken two lives to save one. That's not right." 

      "i'm sorry to interrupt but you two need to leave," she hands hailey a card, "call me when you decide."

        Hailey slowly gets out of the bed and starts walking towards me with her arms spread. I embrace her and try my best to reassure her that we're gonna make this work out. It works a little bit but not enough to make her stop crying. "baby, please stop crying. it's all gonna be ok. Come on lets go home okay?" i ask, and when she nods i put my arm over her shoulder and lead us to the car.

          The car ride home was quiet besides haileys frequent sniffles. i can tell she's terrified and i absolutely hate seeing her this way.

        When we get home i help her out of the car and into the house. She tells me that she's tired so i take her to the bedroom and help her into her pajamas then the bed. After she's tucked in i go into the kitchen and cook her soup. When i go to the room to give it toher she isn't in bed.

      "in here" she says quietly. I follow her voice into the baby room, and find her running her fingertips over everything. "i really thought that we would have a happy complete family." she touches the rocking chair, "i thought i would be able to rock my babies to sleep in this chair," she moves to the crib, "tuck one of my babies in here and admire how cute he or she is when they sleep." She turns and looks at me, "You will have to do all of these things for me, harry."

     "Hailey i ca-" she cuts me off.

    "It's not that you can't. It's that you won't. Harry these babies," she rubs her stomach, "are just as much me as i am. killing them will be like killing a piece of me. I can't-" now i cut her off

   " i can, and i will."  i put down her soup and walk out of the room.
