Zach's POV
" Well I'd love to go to prom with you and as for coming up there with you for a few weeks, I'd love too," I say hugging her waist tighter," how long until we leave?" She looks back and up at me," my birthday is in 2 weeks so about a week and a half." I stand up and pull her up with me," what do you want for your birthday?" I wrap my arms around her waist as we stand in my room. She pops up on her toes and gives me a quick kiss. " What was that for?" I smile. " That's what I wanted for my birthday," she returns the grin. Laken looks down at her phone then back at me," It's getting late, can you take me home?" I purse my lips together before hugging her again. " Why don't you just stay here, I'll sleep in the spare room, you can sleep in here," I offer. Laken tilts her head to the side," I don't want to impo-" I cut her off," You're not, I promise. We can hang out a little bit longer than I'll give you one of my t-shirts to sleep in." She smiles at me. I wrap my arms around Laken. " Are you worried, you know about the future, and living here in LA?" I ask. Laken grabs my arms and steps back. She looks up at me and furrows her eyebrows. " Why do you ask?" She questions concerned. She drops her hands and puts them in her pockets. " I'm just wondering," I start," I just want to know you know what you're getting yourself into." She sighs before walking to the side and sitting on the edge of my bed. She looks at me before returning her gaze back to the ground. " I don't know," she huffs," I want it to be great, but I don't want to get my hopes up, because I know the odds of being famous are rare but I mean I'm here, aren't I?" I walk over and sit beside her. I grab her hand and start playing with her rings. She lays her head on my shoulder and brushes her hair around so it was behind her. I rest my head on hers. " I'm here, with you, in LA and I'm about to start doing what I've dreamed of since I was little. So I guess," she pulls her head back and looks at me," I guess I'm not worried about the present, but the future maybe a little. But I've got you. And I have family here, so for now, let's just enjoy it, okay?" I smile at her before standing up and pulling her up with me. " Okay," I respond. She smiles before laughing. She turns and hops up on my bed. " What are you doing?" I laugh. She starts jumping on my bed. " Come on," She laughs. She puts out her hand and I grab it and step up. " I feel like a little kid again," I laugh. She smiles at me and we jump.
30 minutes pass
I hand Laken a shirt out of my closet. " I'll be back in a second, go ahead and change," I smile at her before walking out of my room. I close the door behind me. " What were you doing in there?" Jack asks, coming out of nowhere. " What?" I say, confused. " That sounded awful sketchy," Jack starts," What girl do you got hiding in there?" I scoff," Me? hiding a girl? No way." Jack laughs," Okay seriously what was all that noise?" I shift my stance. " Nothing," I say. " Tell me," Jack pleads. " It's Laken, okay? She's spending the night," I give in. Jacks jaw drops," Don't tell me you were- gross. What the hell?" He laughs. " God no," I laugh," We were hanging out and it was starting to get late so I told her she could stay the night. She's sleeping in my room tonight, I'm gonna crash in the guest room." Jack nods. I walk off to go change as Jack walks off in the direction of his room.
Laken's POV
I slip on Zach's shirt and it's huge, It goes down to my knees. I open his closet and find a pair of his Adidas as put them on. Similar to the shirt, they are huge. I use my hair tie to hold them up. After a few minutes pass, Zach walks back in wearing his flannels and sleeveless shirt. I smile up at him as I sit on the floor. " Are you wearing my pants?" He laughs. I giggle," maybe." He smiles and sits in front of me. " The boys are home," he states. I grin," I wanna meet Jack. And the others but I talk to Jack a lot more." I pop up and walk to Zach's door. I look back at him," Where am I going?" He laughs," Jack's room is all the way at the end off the hall." I smile and leave his room. I walk down the hallways to the end and knock on the closed door. A few seconds pass and the boy with the ramen hair opens the door. " Holy shit-" Jack says, stunned. I smile and throw my arms out for a hug. He excepts the hug and picks me up. " You're here, I was getting to the point where I thought we'd never meet," He laughs. I smile," I am here!" His arms are wrapped around my lower back and my feet are right off the floor. He moves his head to where he's looking at me, but not letting go of our hug. " You're gorgeous by the way," he smiles. I return the smile as Jack finally sets me back on the ground. " You're so short," he cheeks. I roll my eyes. " Okay get back to Zach, I know he's waiting for you," he laughs. I smile and turn around and walk back to Zach's room. " I'm back," I smile, closing his door behind me. " Yay," he grins, " Well it's getting late so I'm gonna head to the guest room." He starts to walk out of the room. " Zach, wait," I stop him. He turns back around," Yeah? What's wrong?" I smile," can you stay? It's just I have this thing about being in a new place alone." He purses his lips together," Are you sure?" I nod," I trust you, Zach." He smiles and motions toward his bed. " Come on then, we can cuddle," he laughs. We get on his bed and I lay my head on his chest. He is humming the tune to one of his songs while playing with my hair. " Good night, beautiful," he whispers. " Good night, handsome," I reply.
