Draco,
You've been gone a month now. At first I thought you were ignoring me, but then I realized it was bigger than that. I hunted down Blaise Zabini and Pansy Parkinson to have dinner with me a few weeks ago. I asked them where you were. They told me to screw off and to never talk to them again.

Of course I talked to them again.

We have arranged to have dinner once a week every week, but they still refuse to even give a hint as to where you are.

I want you to be okay. Please be okay.

Answer me please,
Harry J. Potter

Draco of course received the letter. He regretted being unable to respond.

He was in hiding.

It had been five years since the ending of the war and he had received an anonymous letter addressed to him from a former Death Eater. An angry former Death Eater. The author of the letter was angry that Draco had betrayed the Dark Lord and he threatened to kill Draco and all he loved.

So Draco went straight to the ministry and the put him in protective custody. Draco couldn't tell anyone of the situation. His only contact to the outside world was the Minister of Magic himself and letters that were checked by ministry officials before getting to Draco.

His favorite letters were the ones from Harry.

He missed him more than he missed anyone else. About a year after the war, he and Harry had met up at a small cafe in muggle London to talk, for closure. They argued a lot at first, obviously, but they worked few things. The pair stayed at that cafe talking until closing time when they were forced to leave. He and Harry left all of the dark stuff of their past behind in the cafe that night.

He remembered how they left that cafe and apparated to Harry's small studio apartment, also in muggle London, so they could have a light-hearted drink together in private. And well, one thing led to another. He and Harry had been seeing each-other in a secret, purely sexual way ever since.

But, Merlin Draco wanted more. Needed more. The pair were always at each-other's place, always together. And even if all they did was have sex, argue about stupid things, drink, and occasionally watch the telly, it was hard to not grow attached. Well he did occasionally drop by Harry's workplace. They had been together like this for four years! But Harry had made it clear millions of times that they were never going to be more, never going to be real, never be public. So over time Draco gave up hoping.

So Draco took comfort in receiving letters from Harry while he was in hiding this past month. It meant that Harry cared at least a little.

Draco,
Where in Merlin's name are you? It's been six months! Six months since I've seen you. My apartment seems so dull without your loud, drama queen self.

I always make my meals with enough food for two when I eat at home. You know, it's just in case you come back.

Did you know people are talking about you? Some people say you've run away to Egypt, and in my head I roll my eyes and say that you'd never go to Egypt "why would I have the desire to burn my perfectly porcelain skin?" Is what I hear you say in my mind. Some one else said that you killed yourself but that one is just absurd, you would never (you have too much pride for that) and even if you did it would be all over the Prophet.
