Bey POV
"Mommy, Daddy, Mommy, Daddy"
I heard as I felt movement on the bed. I pulled the covers off my head to see my twins, Jada and Jayce, jumping on my bed.
"Stop it" I sternly say as all movement came to a halt. "Now what do I owe this pleasure?" I say sitting up.
"We hungy mama" Jayce said while Jada nodded her head in agreement.
I look over at my clock to see it's about 7:30am.
"Okay go wash your face and brush your teeth while I get started on breakfast. Are your sister's up?" I ask.
"Yes" they yell while going to their rooms.
"You can stop pretending your sleep now"
Shawn laughs while wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Why are they always so energized?"
"Their your kids that's why" I playfully say while heading to the bathroom. "Can you make sure that Nahla and Ava are up?"
Shawn nods his head while heading out the room.
These past four years have been nothing but great. I love being married to Shawn. Of course we have our ups and downs like every other marriage but we stick it out.
Nahla is currently nine years old and is starting third grade today. Ava is four years old and the biggest daddy's girl you could imagine. Jada and Jayce are two years old and a handful. I had them about a year after we got married.
After washing up I headed downstairs to start breakfast. As I was finishing up the pancakes the twins came down the stairs dressed.
"Good morning babies"
"Morning mommy" they said while sitting down.
Jayce has nothing but his father's attitude and mannerisms but he loves to be under his mommy. Jada acts just like me and loves to be under her daddy, just like her mommy too.
Once the food was done I began making plates and placing them on the table.
"Morning mommy" Nahla said walking into the kitchen.
"Aww look at my baby" I gushed while walking over to place kisses all over her face. She looked so cute.
"Mom please stop" Nahla playfully said.
"I can't help it, your starting the third grade today. Next thing you know you'll be in high school, wearing makeup, and dating" I pouted.
"She won't be dating no stinking ass boys while she under this roof" Shawn said coming to the kitchen with Ava on his hip. See a complete daddy's girl.
I roll me eyes at him. "Shawn put her down she can walk" Shawn put Ava down and she immediately started to whine. "Ava cut it out, sit down and eat your food." Ava pouted while heading to her chair.
"Mom don't forget we have dance dress rehearsals after school" Nahla told me.
"I know. Are you excited for your solo?"
Nahla nods her head. "I can't wait for you guys to see it, I'm dedicating it to my mom since the recital is on her birthday"
Shawn placed a kiss on Nahla's forehead. "I'm sure we're going to love it and your mom as well" I nodded my head in agreement.
We explained to the kids about a year ago how I'm not biologically Nahla's mom because Ava kept asking about the picture of Vanessa on Nahla's dresser. It took them a while but they eventually understood.
After we finished breakfast Shawn got Nahla together so he could drop her off at school before heading to work. Ava usually goes with them because she attends the pre-K program at Nahla's school, but she is staying at home today. The twins stay at home with me. I work at home now seeing as how with three daycare locations opened, I'm really not needed. I do stop by every once in a while to check up on things.
"See you later mom, love you" Nahla says while giving me a hug.
"Love you too and have a good day at school"
"Alright daddy is leaving. Be good for mommy" Shawn says while giving each of them a kiss.
"Bye daddy, love you" Jada and Jayce say at the same time.
"Bye daddy" Ava says in her soft, timid voice while giving Shawn the longest hug.
I walk Shawn to the door and give him a kiss before he heads out.
"Mhmm" I moan when the kiss gets deep. I pull away from Shawn's lips. "Bye daddy" I seductively say.
Shawn chuckles. "Make sure you have that same energy later on tonight" I laugh.
"Bye baby, I love you"
"Love you too"
I close the door behind him and head to the kitchen to get these kids ready for the day.
