Seven - It's Rude to Stare!

I was in a pretty bad mood that day. Who wouldn't? Kyoto-sensei asked me to be a part of a team of teachers who will do a routine patrol of the shopping area that night to make sure none of our kids are gambling at Pachinko parlors. This often extend up to the wee hours in the morning. And it's Friday!

As I was texting a friend that I couldn't make it to the Nabe Party she has organized for the new batch of Filipino scholars, I felt that the train suddenly stopped. I heard some announcement but couldn't hear it properly. So I removed my earphones. Another accident. A car was hit by a passing train ... Oh well. What a day.

I put on my earphones again and got lost in Kattun's Yuuki no Hana. While daydreaming about Jin Akanishi (although he was no longer part of the group who recorded the song), I felt somebody's eyes on me. When I looked up, my heart skipped a beat. It was him! Again! My Lee Min Ho. My train man.

I remember the harsh words he said to me in school a few days back. So I did not acknowledge his presence. I looked away. Yeah, you're good-looking. But I don't like you. Not anymore.

When I looked up again, our eyes met...He was still staring! My God. Didn't his mother tell him that it's rude to stare? I couldn't stand his gaze so I moved to another side. My back towards him. I felt somebody moved to my side. It was him. Again. Pambihira!

"I don't know what you did but you seemed to have gotten the twins' sympathy. Hiroki's asking for you...He wants to see you. He is still in the hospital."

I looked at him. He was talking to me?

"Yeah. Does anybody here understand English?" he replied sarcastically.

Suplado!

"Are you free tomorrow? You can come with me when I visit Hiroki at the hospital. Where do you live, I'll pick you up. And we can go there together."

It was hard to breathe. I couldn't stop my heart from beating fast. Although, he was just asking me to visit his brother in the hospital, it feels like he was asking me out!

Ellie, behave. Act like a teacher...

I gave him my address. He typed it in his keitai (cellphone). Then, he asked for my number...I was praying that the train will be stuck forever but then before I was done with my prayers, the train moved. My heart sank. He got off at the next stop.

While preparing to go to my school assignment, I heard my keitai rang. The number was unfamiliar. Who could it be?

"This is Kozuki. Kozuki Hayato. Save my number and see you tomorrow."

Kozuki? Why not Fuji? After all, the twins are ...
