Zach is your best friend and he has to watch you hold onto your boyfriend who doesn't care as much about your relationship as you do.

"Y/N, babe, just chill. I wasn't even flirting with her, I swear," my boyfriend, Landon, tells me. "Mhmm sure you weren't! You were all over her!" I fought back.

I'm tired of having the same argument a million times. This has been going on for a few months now but Landon is all I have. Except for my best friend, Zach,
of course. I just don't want to lose Landon.

"His hand was literally hovering over her ass!" I shriek, explaining the entire story to Zach after I left Landon's house.

Zach just sighs, "Y/N, when are you going to realize this is who Landon is? He is a player, a fuckboy, a fuck 'em and leave 'em, type of guy."

I throw my fists down, not harshly but enough to get his attention, onto his bed, "but he's not! If you just got to know him! He's just a little too flirty is all."

Zach scoffs and rolls his eyes, "oh trust me, I know what I'm talking about Y/N." he paused and looked up a me, "but if you want to continue being with him I can't stop you," he whispers.

I shrug, not knowing how exactly to respond. Suddenly my phone starts to buzz. I look and see I have a text from Landon.

Babe❤️- hey, I'm sorry for being such a dick. I messed up. Forgive me?

Y/N- okay, but please don't do it again.

Babe❤️- don't worry baby, you're the only girl I could ever love. Wanna come over so I can show you how much I really love you?

Y/N- on my way!

"Sorry Zach! I got to go! Landon apologized so I'm going back over to his house! I'll see ya later!" I said, grabbing my stuff and walking out the door. I could've sworn I heard him mumble, "every fucking time" but I blew it off and drove to Landon's.

"I'm gonna go have a shower babe, just hangout in here while you wait," Landon said getting out of bed. I smiled softly and nodded.

About five minutes later I heard Landon's phone go off, I realized he didn't bring it with him. As I saw it light up on the nightstand, I saw a text from someone under the name "Kailey😍 "

Curiosity took over and I unlocked his phone to read it. I've never looked through his texts but I got a weird vibe from this girl. That's when I felt my heart sink to my stomach.

Kailey😍- I can't wait to see you again tomorrow, I bought some things to try on for you😉 just thinking about all the things I want you to do to me is making me want you even more right now.

I felt a tear roll down my cheek,
but I quickly wiped it away as soon as I heard the shower turn off.

Landon came out of the washroom and saw my face probably a little red and my eyes a little puffy.

He tilted his head in confusion, "babe what's wrong?" He asked. I scoffed, "don't 'babe' me." I lifted up his phone showing him the texts, "what the fuck is this Landon?!"

His face goes from worried to slightly angry, "why were you reading my texts?!" He almost yells, "why are you fucking another girl?!" I argue.

He snatches his phone out of my hand, "that does matter! Why were you reading my texts?!"

I chuckled slightly, seeing as how he tried to blame me for this, "I wouldn't have to be if you weren't sleeping around!" I yelled, I quickly threw my clothes on since I'm basically butt naked.

I grabbed all my stuff, and walked up to Landon slapping him in the face. "You're an asshole, go fuck yourself." I spat.

I left his house, got in my car and drove to Zach's house. I knocked on the door and Zach opened it. He rushed my inside as soon as he noticed I was crying.

"What happened?" He closed the door and pulled me into his arms, and I cried into his shoulder, "L-Landon was cheating o-on me."

I heard Zach sigh but he continued to hold onto me, "is it a bad time to tell you I told you so?" He asked trying to cheer me up, it worked because I chuckled just the slightest bit.

I pulled away from the hug and sat down on his couch. "I should've listened to you, you kept telling me he was no good and I didn't believe you." I cried.

Zach sat next to me and wrapped an arm around me, "but you loved him, it's understandable that you would've thought he was different."

"I don't think I loved him Zach." I confess, putting my head in my hand.
"What do you mean Y/N?" Zach questioned, "there was a time in our relationship that I truly did love Landon, but I think those feelings started to fade after he started doing all of this." I wiped the tears from my eyes, "I tried to convince myself that he wasn't as bad as I thought so I just made myself love him, but I think deep down I knew he was cheating on me."

"Hey look at me," he said, he took his hand and lifted my chin so I was face to face with him, "there's going to be a day when you don't have to do that. You will find someone that won't make you doubt your feelings towards them and you will actually love, you won't have to force yourself to love them." He told me.

I smiled softly at him and gave him a hug, "thank you Zach," he smiled back at me and kept his arm wrapped around my waist.

The hug didn't seem to come to an end because we both kinda fell asleep like that.

But you wanna know something, I think I'm falling in love with Zach.
