I headed down the slummy street, trying to get to the city bus on time today because it's a usual occurrence for me to miss the bus.I walked at a fast pace, not watching where I was going when I basically tripped over something, or should I say 'someone' because I heard them go, "ow! Maybe look where you walk!"
The voice sounded familiar so I looked down to see who it was. To my surprise, Justin Foley was staring up at me, "Justin?"
"Y/N? What are you doing around here?" He asked confused.
Justin and I aren't really friends. I mean, we would talk now and again during class but we never really hung out a lot, maybe only a couple times.
"I got a new job at the grocery store down the street. My boss always makes me stay late so I miss my bus all the time." I looked up, seeing the bus leaving the bus stop and driving down the street, "shit. Looks like I'll be waiting for another hour."
"You can hangout with me," Justin offered. I looked around him, seeing a small pile of clothes, a tattered blanket, and some empty coffee cups.
"Have you been living on the street for the past three weeks you've been missing?" Justin nodded sheepishly, "come with me," I told him. Gesturing for him to stand up. "Grab your things."
"Why? Where are we going?" He asked as he followed me down the street.
I turned to look at him, "I'm getting us a motel room so we're not just sitting on the street in the freezing cold," I explained. "I'll get a room that you can stay in over night too."
Justin pulled on my arm for me to stop walking, "Y/N, you're not doing that. I'm fine on the street."
"No you're not, now come on."
Before we got to the motel, we stopped at a small corner store and I bought some snacks and drinks for us which we ended up eating most of on our walk to the motel.
We got to the small motel and I walked inside the front office, "hi," I greeted the lady behind the counter. "I'd like to get a room, just for one night."
The lady handed my a key and I paid her with my debit card. I walked out of the office, seeing Justin waiting outside for me, "thank you," he said.
"Don't mention it, tonight's supposed to get really cold."
We walked to room number 11 and I used the key to get inside.
It wasn't too bad looking. The wallpaper was a bit old, but it looked pretty clean to say the least.
Justin placed his things on the floor beside the dresser as I flopped onto the bed. Justin joined me seconds later.
"So why'd you leave?" I asked suddenly.
Justin turned to look at me, his face inches from mine, "I couldn't stay. There was so much going on; with Hannah, Bryce, Clay, Jess and I, I just—I didn't want to be around that anymore," he said quietly.
I nodded, staying silent for a moment, "I miss talking to you in class. No one has the same stupid sense of humour like you do," I joked.
A smile cracked at his lips, "oh really?" He asked smugly.
"Mhmm," I responded.
Justin didn't say anything, he just starred at me for a few moments and then all of a sudden his lips were on mine.
I was shocked at first but then I kissed him back.
One thing lead to another, you can probably guess what happened, and I ended up missing the next bus, which was the last bus of the night.

The room was dark so by the time I had woken up I knew it was past nine pm. Justin wasn't in the bed anymore but there was a small crack of light coming from the bathroom.
I stood up quietly, making sure Justin didn't hear me. I walked over to the bathroom door and peeked inside.
There sat Justin, his left arm laid out on the counter and his right hand holding a needle that he proceeded to inject into his left arm. He push the syringe down, letting the drugs enter his system, and then took the needle out.
I accidentally let out a gasp, making Justin look quickly in my direction, "Y/N? Shit! I thought you were asleep?!" He said trying to hide the needle and drugs.
"I—I have to go," I stammered.
I ran to grab my coat, throwing it on and then grabbing my bag before rushing out of the motel room.
I ran all the way to the bus stop and took my phone out to call Tony.
He answered after the second ring:
Tony: Y/N? What's up?
Me: C-can you come p-pick me up? I'm at the *insert random street name* bus stop.
Tony: Of course. I'll be there soon.
Tony arrived after five minutes. I got into his car and immediately burst into tears.
"Y/N, what happened? What were you doing down here this late?" He asked concerned.
I hiccuped, "you can't t-tell anyone if I tell you the truth okay?"
Tony nodded and rubbed my back soothingly, "I promise. Now tell me what happened."
"I ran into Justin," I confessed, making Tony's eyes widened. "A-and we slept together."
"What...?" Tony gasped.
"And then I woke up and saw him shooting heroin," I whispered fidgeting with my fingers.
"Okay, okay, just look at me," Tony insisted. "Just breathe. If all that happened was that you guys slept together, it could have been a lot worse."
"But he doing drugs Tony! He's alone and doing drugs!" I exclaimed.
"And we will figure what to do about that later, okay? Right now let's just get you home, yeah?" Tony suggested.
I nodded as Tony pulled back into the road and drove down the street, "thank you."
We continued to drive until he pulled up to my house and I started getting out of his car when he stopped me, "I know this isn't any of my business but," he paused. "Did you guys use protection?" He asked worried.
My breath caught in my throat and the word fell right from my lips in disbelief, "no."
