It's the two days before formal and our parents want to have a family meeting. I have no idea what's it about. We all hear our names and we all make our way downstairs. We all take a seat in the living room.

"Okay guys we have to discuss something very important with you guys."

Hunter, Brandon, and me look at each other and shrug our shoulders.

"Lately your father and I haven't been at our best, and we have been going to court to discuss things. We have filed for a divorce. And we signed our last papers today"

Christine says looking down.

No one says anything, I am kind of shocked they seemingly like they were doing fine.

"Christine and the boys will be moving out tomorrow after school."

Everything isn't making sense, does that mean the Rowland's aren't part of our family anymore.

I'm not going to lie, I'm gonna miss them so much. The house will be so quiet without them here.

Hunter, Brandon, and Ashton get up and go back upstairs without saying a word.

"If you guys feel this is right, then I'm okay with it."

They both nod and smile at me. I go upstairs into my room.

I change my mind and walk to hunters room. I knock on the door,

"Who is it?" He mumbles.

"It's Kat," I say sighing.

The doorknob turns and he opens the door,

"Hey," he smiles slightly at me.

He moves to the side letting me step into his room. I sit down on his bed and see that he was playing on his Xbox.

"So are you surprised?"
I say looking around his room playing with my fingers.

"Yea, honestly didn't think they weren't working out. They seemed fine to me."

He says shrugging his shoulders grabbing his controller and starts playing his game again.

"So are you excited for formal?"
He asks me, keeping his eyes glued to the tv.

"Yea I guess so, are you?"
I ask him back watching the screen as well.

"Not really it's just formal, we aren't graduating or anything."
He says bitting his lip frustrated with his game.

"Yea..." I say.

I get up and leave his room, way to awkward for my liking.

I jump on my bed and see if I got any texts. I have one from Joey. I unlock my phone and open messages.

Joey: so glad I can take you to formal!!
Kat: :))

I reply with just a smiley face, I decide to take a nap because I didn't get enough sleep last night. I crawl into my bed sheets and lay my head on the pillow. I slowly drift off to sleep.
