"Kat is everything alright?" the soft kind voice asks.
I am suddenly surprised when I hear Joey's voice, I must have mistaken his contact name for Hunter. Hunter just keeps distracting my mind and I can't think straight.
"Jo..Joey, I am so sorry." My heartbreaks a little as those words come out of my mouth.
The thought of me leaving Joey at the dance makes me feel like an awful person. He is such a sweet boy, he deserves someone better.
"I was looking for you at the dance, I couldn't find you and I've been worried ever since." He says all in one breathe.
"I am fine Joey, it was just uh...ex family problem," I say laughing a bit.
"Well I'm glad you are okay." He says, I can feel him smiling through the phone.
"Well I need to go, see you when school starts, bye kat," he says hanging up the phone.
I throw my phone on the bed and lay back down. I sigh, my mind still racing with all these thoughts.
I really do feel bad for leaving Joey, he's a good guy.
I always leave the good guys for the bad ones...
