Catherine POV
I woke up in what I can only guess is Max's bedroom. Everything hurt. I could barely get up and stand. I was leaning against the walls all the way to the door frame. I guess they were all up because I heard them talking. I limped over the Max and gave him a hug from behind. 'Thank you so much, Max." He turned around and hugged me back. Ross and Tim looked at each other and yelled, "I SHIP IT!" Max got mad and gave them the finger. I wanted to laugh but I hurt too much so I just smiled. "You okay Cathrine?" Max asked.
"Yeah. Just hurts a little."
"Need some pain reliever?"
"Yes please." He came back with two pain relievers and a glass of water. (Idk how much you need to take. I've never needed it before.) I put them in my mouth, took a sip, and swallowed. "We are going to the offices in a couple hours. If you want we can drive you to your house to pick up your stuff. I know you don't feel safe there."
"That would be nice."
"But first, you need to eat."

"Catherine! Come on! We're leaving!" Max yelled.
"Coming," I said. We got into his car and drove to my house. I unlocked the door with an extra key under a fake rock. It felt different. It felt sketchy. I could tell Max felt it too. I walked upstairs slowly, went to my room, opened the door slowly, and in the corner was what scared me half to death. There was someone in my room. Then, I realized it was Zach, my boyfriend. "Zach!" I yelled.
"Huh?" he said. He smelled strongly of liquor. The same he was when I last saw him. "~Oh. Cath. You're back.~" Max had an expression on his face which read you really trust this guy? I grabbed a couple days worth of clothes and left him there, asleep in my bed. When Max and I got back into his car, he said, "That's your boyfriend?"
"Yeah," I said quietly.
"He seems, a little... odd... "
"I know, but he is all I have."
"Okay... Just be careful." He drove us back to his house. I took a shower and watched all the dirt go down the drain. I bandaged up my arms and left leg, and began to put on clothes. (Media). I walked down stairs and Max handed me something. It was my knife. "Thanks," I said.
"No problem. Come on let's go." He said.
"Okay." We got in his car and I just stared out the window. Watching the trees, the grass, the lamp posts, the litter. "You okay?" Max asked.
"Yeah... I just... kinda missed the outside world..." He didn't say anything after that. When we arrived at the offices, I got really excited and ran up to the door. I couldn't get in because Max needed to unlock the door, so I just stood there jumping up and down. When he unlocked the door I ran in only to see no one there. "Maybe you should go to your office," Max said. I walked to my office and saw Ross with a baguette. "Turn around," he said.
"Okay..."
"WELCOME HOME!!!" Everyone yelled. I covered my mouth and started to cry tears of joy. They all gave me a giant group hug. "First of all, y'all lucky I didn't punch one of you guys. Second, thank you guys so much. I love y'all." I said.
"We love you too. And thanks for not punching us." Adam said.
"Especially Max," Ross said.
"Shut up!" he yelled.
"Awww! Are you Mad Max?"
"5...4..." He started running. "3...2...1!" Then Max ran after him. He caught up to Ross and tackled him. We all laughed and pulled them apart. It still hurt to laugh so I just smiled. It was good to be back.
Hey!!! So IDK if this will post before or after the A/n Chapter. This chapter shall be known in this book as the first chapter that mentions Mad Max!!!! So I hope you guys liked this chapter!!!
