Narrator POVAnabel smiled and gripped my hands to calm Luma's fear.
"So you accept then, Miss Moon? Thank you very much!"
"Yeah... but please, just call me Luma," she chuckled.
"Looker had already tested you back in the league to see if you were truly capable to battle, and I was pleased to hear that you had successfully beat him."
Luma chuckled and looked towards Looker.
'Only because he wanted to do a one on one. I was so ready to go all out,' she thought.
"I hope that we will do fine working together," Anabel had said in a calm tone.
"So now you are a member of our team, young Luma! You are most welcome!" Looker shouted, grabbing Luma's hand and giving her a hearty handshake.
"Thanks. And likewise, Anabel," she chuckled.
"Then there's no time to waste. Let's start your first job!"
"And that's?"
"The chief and I will set out to gather more information about the UBs. Then we want you to visit the secret labs in the bottom of Aether Paradise! There you should find our other partner in this endeavor. The vice chief of the Alolan branch of the Aether Foudation: Ms. Violet Wicke. She will know why you've come," Looker reported.
"Wicke, huh? Well, glad it's not someone else I knew," Luma thought aloud, thinking of the dreaded "Aether Paradise's last line of defense" Faba.
"Now set forth, young Luma!"
"Uhh... okay!" She yelled back and went on out with her pager at the sky and headed to Aether Paradise. There, she saw anew Aether. Especially, a new Paradise.
It had been a month or so since she's been in the building, but within we're those in and out of uniform. Luma then went up to the front desk and asked the lady where she could find Wicke, and was told that she would be working underground for the time being. And so she headed on over to the Basement Floor, and saw the purple haired woman.
"Luma. Welcome back," she greeted.
"Ms. Wicke. It's so good to see you again. How have you been," Luma asked, and this was how Wicke had responded.
"I've been well. I've been meaning to tell you how much I appreciate what you did for Miss Lillie and Madam Lusamine."
"There really is no need for any more thanks in the matter."
"Miss Lillie asked me a lady favor before she left," Wicke had responded.
"Oh?"
Wicke had prepared her words in her head and had started to speak to Luma about the reason Lillie and her mother went to Kanto.
Lillie had left for Kanto not only to be a trainer, but to rid of the neurotoxins that Nihilego had left behind in Lusamine, who after the incident, had remained in a state of shock. Both mind and body. All hope had seemed lost for her. Until Lillie read in a book about a man named Bill, whom combined himself with a Pokémon in an experiment that went awry, similar to Lusamine fusion with the Beast. It was said that he was separated from the Pokémon thanks to a teleported he had and a cell separation system. The same procedure that Lillie may have been striving for in order to save her mother from the last doses of the poison.
