Narrator POV

After sending the information of Nihilego to the International Police, Wicke had commenced the rest of her work as vice chief of the Aether Foundation, keeping her research in secret, with guards who had little knowledge of the UBs.

"All clear," she signaled, going her way toward the elevator, and into the main lobby, seeing Gladion pass her.

"Good afternoon, young mas- I mean, President Gladion. You seem well."

"Oh, Wicke. Same to you," he replied, looking up at the woman. Although, she knew something was bothering him, and that something was the Champion.

"Did something happen with Luma?"

He glanced at Wicke and turned toward her, all the while trying to contain his frustration and swiftly looked away from her, slightly responding to her with a nod.

"I see... what happened?"

The two of them talked it out, and Wicke understood Luma more than her young master, knowing all of the details and her mission with the Task Force. Furthermore, the fact that everything from the Task Force was meant to be confidential, including their identities and any association they have.

"If Luma really had any involvement with the Ultra Beasts, you really think she would forget all that you and Lillie been through?"

"Knowing her. Probably..."

Wicke sighed and looked toward him with warm eyes.

"Then why not just be there for her? I mean, if she's on edge, then why make her even more stressed out than she already is... I know she would do the same for you, Young Master..."

Gladion looked over to her and searched for understanding through Wicke's words.

"Yet what does that have to do with Luma and the Ultra Beasts?"

Wicke looked around and tried thinking of some other excuse.

"Well, I mean... she-"

Wicke had just about run about stuff to say. Not knowing what other words there were in her mind. Gladion knew deep down that something was wrong the first time she visited. But had his suspicions when that man appeared.

When the month had begun, Gladion had restored the Aether Foundation to a place of research and renewal. More and more civilians from all around the Alola Region had placed their knowledge and trust on. Including the International Police when Looker had showed up.

"Welcome to the Aether Foundation. You look new in town. Have you just moved here?"

"I would like to speak to the President of this Foundation. Do you know where I could find Gladion Virdis?"

"He's.... uhhh..."

The sound of clicking heels had echoed through the vicinity of the foundation, revealing the Vice Chief of the Foundation.

"Young Master Gladion is currently busy at the moment meeting with other executives of other companies.... But maybe I can be of service to you."

With the thought of that in mind, Wicke kept her mouth perched closed and looked up to see someone else come in.

The two individuals look toward the direction of the voice, seeing Nanu entering from the outside balcony via charizard.

"Officer Nanu? What are you doing here?" Gladion crossed his arms and glared at the man.

"Relax, I didn't come for you. I came to speak to the Vice Chief. Alone. It's important she hears about this..."
