"You're not completely over her." Youngmin's head hung low hearing those words. Especially from the girl he dated for a month after Joo basically dropped him from her life.
Her name was Lim Sarang. A childhood friend of Youngmin who ended up being together with him unexpectedly, yet she knew both their feelings weren't mutual. She dated him because she was trying to get over a previous breakup, along with Youngmin who tried to forget Joo. Both obviously seemed to fail at this point when Sarang brought up the topic on their stroll in park back in Busan.
The sun was setting and the lake glistened with sparkles from the sky. The leaves blew across the two as they stood awkwardly next to each other, their eyes focusing only to what's in front of them.
"Why'd you choose to come to me?" Youngmin ignored the question Sarang previously asked. He averted his gaze to her and flashed a weak smile.
Sarang shrugged her shoulders and looked back at Youngmin. Her lips were in a pouting position as she patted his shoulder. "I thought i'd be over him."
"Who's this 'him' you're talking about?"
For a slight moment Sarang felt like she was ready to burst into curse words that have been filling her mind, but instead she cooled down and the name "Daniel" slipped out of her mouth. With that being said, Youngmin nearly choked on his spit as he was taken aback by the certain name.
"The Kang Daniel?!" He exclaimed, backing up.
Sarang softly chuckled as she nodded her head. She also scratched the back of her neck, a bit embarrassed to explain the whole situation, so instead she insisted that she would tell Youngmin some other time.
"Well, what about you?"
Youngmin then began to bring his sad aura out of him as he sighed and fought back the tears.
"First of all, you're right. I'm not over her." Youngmin began. His eyes now focusing on the lake that was reflecting the beautiful orange and purple sunset. Something that kind of reminded him of Joo. Orange which can be indicated as a brightish color, depending on the shade. She was kind of like orange with her bright personality. Along with purple which was mysterious to him, also an awkward color to go with orange. Yet the two colors suit each other so well that it makes a beautiful sunset.
He was so deep in his thoughts that he didn't even realize that Sarang was waiting for an answer.
"That's it?" She chuckled.
Youngmin quickly shook his head and sighed once again. "I don't know why I let her push me away. I should've been fighting back to stay with her instead of leaving her. Being with you was probably my stupid excuse and plan to get her off my mind. But there's really nothing for me to do to get her off my mind."
A few tears made its way out of his eyes. "Maybe it's me who i'm deceiving. Because no matter how many times I try to get her out my mind, something just leads me back to her."
"Youngmin-"
"I'm sorry Sarang."
Instead of forgiving him with her heartfelt words, Sarang planted a small peck on his cheeks. She smiled softly, until she saw a familiar face behind Youngmin. Not too far away, was a girl with her nose that was slightly red because of the cold weather. That same girl also had an expression that is unexplainable as she couldn't give off if she was mad, sad, or confused.
Youngmin turned around after seeing Sarang's alarmed expression and he too, gave the same face. His eyes slightly widened and his mouth gaped open before Sarang broke their silence.
"I have to go." She said before taking off into the distance, disappearing from the park.
Youngmin was then alone with that certain person and all he could do was stare. Before him was someone he least expected to see at this time.
"Joo?"
