Hiraeth | Im Youngmin

5: Mochi

"Thank you?" Joo said as she awkwardly looked at Youngmin's eyes.

Her hands were still touching his cheek. It was soft and she didn't mind it at all. The soft feeling made her happy which made Youngmin confused. Joo's lips were curled up into a soft smile as she started to caress Youngmin's cheeks making him awkwardly look around. His eyes then looked passed her shoulder and to the window where he sees Donghyun, Minho, and Tae-who are now a friendly trio- signaling Youngmin to say something, but he ignored.

A soft yet cute giggle left Joo's mouth which brought Youngmin's eyes back to Joo. "You're cheeks are soft and pink. I like it."

Joo seemed to be lost in another world. It was like Youngmin's cheeks were a magic touch. Youngmin also chuckled and smiled at Joo.

"Oh..." Joo suddenly went back into reality and looked at Youngmin. Her sparkling eyes went
back to it's normal state and she came back to her regular expression. "Sorry."

Youngmin then had a quick change of expression, too. He looked at Joo and then at his right hand that still had a grip of her wrist that were still on his cheek. "Oh, i'm sorry. Uh. I'm sorry."

Youngmin gently lets go of Joo's wrist and brought his hand to the back of his neck scratching it out of embarrassment. "I'm sorry...again." At this point he didn't know what else to do. He was in lost of words and the word "sorry" is the only thing he could think of.

Youngmin opened up his mouth to say something, but was interrupted by the trio walking in. They all paused and stared at each other.

"Donghyun, do we help Youngmin out orrr?" Tae asked as his eyes shifted to Youngmin who stared back at them.

"Yes." Donghyun said as he gave a big nod.

The three pushed each other forward not knowing who'll start a convo first and then Minho suddenly ended up at the front.

"Aahhh, Noona. Soo...why are you here? Weren't you supposed to stay home with grandma?"

Joo nodded. "But I forgot my stuffed teddy bear, Mochi."
All the boys were confused and stared at each other. On the other hand, Joo walks to the back of the kitchen and comes out cuddling a medium sized teddy bear that had soft fur and a red ribbon tied around it's neck. She stares at the boys who still had their eyes locked on her. "What? I didn't even sleep at night because I forgot Mochi. It was like death." The boys all nodded understanding her, but Youngmin had a different reaction. He had a cheeky smiled plastered on his face. It warmed his heart knowing she's a child at heart though. Her awkward personality seems to hide many things about her.

"Did you walk here all alone?" Minho asked trying to make things less awkward.

Joo responds without a problem though and nods her head. "But I was dropped off by a taxi. My legs are sore. I'm walking back though." She pouted.

Donghyun thought to himself and looked over at Youngmin. He saw how much he was desperate to actually talk, but Youngmin was still shy.

"Hyung," Donhyun whispered. "Just walk with her. Say it with confidence." He patted Youngmin's back to reassure him that everything's going to be fine.

Joo then waved at the boys saying good bye before leaving the building. As she was barely walking out, she hears footsteps getting closer and closer in a running manner. Turning around, she sees Youngmin who had a happy expression catching up to her.

"I'll walk you home." He smiled.
