"Twinkle, twinkle, little bat, how I wonder where your at, up above the world you fly, like a tea tray in the sky." - Teapot Mouse

One of the palace cards came to lead me to the room where my trial would take place. The animals she had collected as jury of the trial all looked incredibly dopey and useless. She had two ducks staring blankly at one another, quacking as if they thought they were seeing themselves in a mirror. What idiots. Not to mention that stupid tea mouse that kept singing the same messed up nursery rhyme whenever being asked a question. Had I mentioned that I'm doomed. As the queen took her place at the top of the podium, the white rabbit ran through the room playing the same dreadful music that had been played to announce her presence in the court yard. One would think that they could at least organize a different song for something as important as a trial. The queen wore the same ugly dress she had worn when I first saw her and I wondered whether she owned anything else.

The white rabbit then declared the words "Your Majesty, members of the jury, loyal subjects... uhh the king. The prisoner being accused of painting the queens roses red and insulting her majesty, the queen of hearts during her graceful arrival to the gardens, thereby and without malice disrespecting, annoying, and otherwise tormenting our beloved Queen, causing her to lose her temper. Will be held accountable for such actions." By the time he was done, the rabbit had been out of breath and what felt like an hour long statement, in reality only lasted two minutes.

Clyde sat directly beside the queen of hearts staring at me with a blank face, I couldn't sense even the slightest sleep of emotion. Had he ever cared what happened to me or was he just bored with this and wanted the trial to go straight to the death penalty.

"Now, I think we've heard all that we need to know. Acacia whatever your last name is, is guilty of treason and will be executed for mistreating the Queen. Court is dismissed." The Queen stated smiling at the idea of my head being chopped off.

"Oh but you mustn't. I never meant to disrespect you my queen, it's just that I was not guilty of such a crime and I was spitting out words that I didn't mean."

"So what your telling me is that I raised a son that would lie to his own mother. How dare you disrespect another member of the royal court, while insinuating I don't know how to raise a child." She yelled her face turning red.

"I'm not saying that at all your majesty, I was trying to say that you look absolutely stunning in that dress of yours and I'm only jealous of how graceful and beautiful you are."I said with a smile hoping she wouldn't see right past my lie. I looked over at Clyde who now looked very amused as to what would happen to me.

"Flattery will get you everywhere my dear. Clyde you never told me what a charmer this dear child is. Acacia how would you like to be in my presence everyday, and be my new assistant."

"That sounds absolutely wonderful my liege." I said trying not to cringe at the thought of seeing that ugly face everyday.

"Well then its settled, ace of hearts number 20 you are fired! OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!!! And Acacia my dear, it is time for you to get to work."
