Tabitha's POV

I made my way into the office where I had been told to go by miss. Sally, I had my case in one hand and my bunny rabbit teddy in the other. As I walked into the office I saw a young couple who looked relatively familiar. They both turned their heads to look at me, my face froze in shock as I realised who it was.
"Hi, I'm Perrie, this is Alex" she said. I looked up again and smiled softly, "I-I know, I'm Tabitha" I spoke quietly and with caution still wondering why they were here.

Perries POV

Alex and I had been thinking about adopting for a while and when I first set eyes on the picture of Tabitha I knew she was the one for us, she was eight years old but we knew with our busy schedules a younger child would be high maintenance and we'd struggle to deal with the challenges we'd need to face. But we just knew that Tabitha was going to fit in with us so well.

No ones POV

Perrie and Alex were hopeful that Tabitha would agree to go home with them, miss sally, the head looked at Tabitha, who was sat in the chair to the left hand side of Perrie, "now Tabitha, this is fully your choice, would you be happy to go home with Alex and perrie today?" She asked the small girl in the chair, Tabitha looked into her eyes "yes please" she whispered. Once everything was signed Perrie and Alex took Tabitha to the car. Perrie got into the back of the car with Tabitha so that she didn't feel lonely.

"So Tabitha, what kind of things do you enjoy" Perrie smiled at the small girl next to her, "erm I really enjoy colouring and drawing and stuff like that" she replied quietly, "are you ok?" Perrie whispered, "it's just, no one's ever wanted to adopt me, why did you two want me?" The young girl questioned.
"Well, we saw your picture and we just thought you were the most adorable little girl we'd seen, and also we knew you'd be able to handle a busy schedule better than a little toddler" Perrie explained, Tabitha nodded.

As they arrived at the house, Alex got out the car and opened the door for Tabitha, "thanks" she smiled softly, she wasn't used to anyone being so loving towards her so she wasn't sure how to act. One thing she did know is that the house was big, much bigger than the children's care home that she'd lived in for four years, luckily it was a quiet day and there weren't any paps outside Alex and perries house. Perrie noticed how daunted the 8 year old looked so she reached her hand out towards her, Tabitha gently gripped perries hand as they walked inside the house.

"So I'm guessing you can tell what all the downstairs features are" Alex laughed as he pointed to rooms such as the kitchen and lounge, Tabitha nodded as she giggled. "Wanna see your room?" Perrie asked, "you got me a room?" Tabitha questioned slowly, "of course baba, we didn't know what colour you'd prefer so we went for a quite plain colour and you can change it if you'd like" Perrie replied, whilst she lead Tabitha to her room.

"I love it! Thank you so so much" Tabitha smiled at her new 'parents', "you're welcome princess, but it's quite late now so do you want to get to bed?" Perrie questioned, Tabitha nodded and went to get her pyjamas from her bag.
"Perrie!" Tabitha shouted from the other room, Perrie ran in to Tabitha quickly to see what was wrong, "I cut my hand on the zip" she mumbled, it was bleeding quite a lot so Perrie grabbed some gauze and medical tape from the first aid kit before applying them to the wound on Tabithas hand.

"Goodnight sweet" Perrie smiled as she leant in for a hug, "night Perrie" she smiled back, "I'll send Alex up to say night okay" Perrie assured the fragile girl as she walked out of her room. The next thing Tabitha knew Alex was sat on the edge of her bed, "night princess" he aid softly, "goodnight Alex" she replied with a smile.
It was already late so Perrie and Alex went to bed as well, they had told Tabitha where they were invade she needed anything, within ten minutes they were both asleep.

After about an hour Perrie woke up to hear small sobs coming from tabitha's room, she got out of bed quickly and went straight in to the small girl, "baby, what's wrong?" Perrie questioned as she sat down next to her, Tabitha looked up at perrie but continued to cry, she moved her arm around Tabitha and gently pulled her closer for a hug. "I know it's gonna take you a while to trust us baba, but what's wrong? I want to help you" Perrie said to the young girl. Tabitha dried her tears and sat up slightly, "it's just when I was little my mum and dad weren't nice to me. And I got taken to the care home, and I get scared when I'm alone" she spoke softly whilst Perrie listened intently to what she was saying, "oh sweetie you should have said, would you like me to stay with you?" Perrie asked Tabitha, "yes please" she replied, Tabitha laid her head back on the pillow and perrie held her hand, "would you like to meet any of the girls yet, or wait a while?" Perrie asked, she knew Tabitha would get on well with the girls but she wasn't sure when she would want to meet them, "can I meet them soon?" Tabitha asked, "of course sweetie, Alex and I were going to go to jades tomorrow along with everyone else so we'll take you with us" Perrie smiled. The two then sat in silence for a few minutes, "perrie?" The small girl said, "yeh babe?" Perrie replied, "you don't have to call me Tabitha" she said, "what do you want to be called then?" Perrie asked unsure of what the little girl meant, "well sometimes my friends would call me tabby or T or Tj because my middle name is jade" she said, "aw ok, just promise me you won't worry about anything and that if you're upset or you are worried then let us know because we'll always be here for you no matter what" Perrie said, tabby nodded in reply and then gently placed her head on the top of perries chest, Perrie wrapped her arms around tabby protectively, "are you ok with me putting my head on you?" Tabby asked quietly, "why wouldn't I be tabby, were your family now babe" Perrie replied as she felt tabby go limp in her arms and noticed her breathing regulate itself. After a few minutes Perrie also fell asleep. The two looked very alike for people who weren't related, both with their blue eyes and blonde hair.
