"Hello?" Alex heard from outside the door, he got up and opened it revealing both Wendy and Debbie, "hi mum, hi Debbie" he smiled as he gave them both a hug. They followed him into the room where Oakley was along with perrie and Tabitha, "oh my baby, is she ok?" Debbie sighed looking over at perrie who was fast asleep, alex nodded, "I think so, she's very tired and didn't really get much sleep in the last 24 hours" he said softly being careful not to speak to loud invade he woke either perrie or Oakley. "And how's Tabitha?" Wendy smiled as she sat down next to her granddaughter, "happy" Tabitha replied with a giggle, "I'm sure you are, you're a big sister now!" Wendy smiled.
"So can we meet her?" Debbie asked, "I know perrie really wanted to see you meet her and be the one to tell you the name so I'll see if I can get her up for a little bit" Alex said, he didn't want them to meet Oakley whilst perrie was asleep as he thought it would ruin it for perrie so he walked over to the bed where she was sleeping.

"Pez, baby our mums are here" he whispered giving her a peck on the forehead as he did, he then took her hand in his as started to trace circles on the back of it, "Pez, wake up babe" he tried again. After a couple of seconds perrie began to stir, she seemed very agitated so Alex wrapped an arm around her, "it's just me" he whispered making perrie smile, "our mums want to meet her" he added. Perrie leant into his side, "I love you" she whispered, "I love you too princess" Alex smiled. Perrie rubbed her eyes and stood up slowly walking over to sit back down on the sofa, "could you pass her to me?" She asked Alex, he nodded and walked over to the incubator. He unclipped the cover and lifted Oakley out before carrying her to perrie, "thank you" perrie smiled softly.

Alex perched on the arm of the chair right behind where perrie was sitting, "mam, Wendy, we'd like you to meet Oakley Ryan Oxlade-Chamberlain" perrie beamed, it was clear to Alex how happy she was but he could tell that she also just wanted some time to sit and cry. "Can I have a hold?" Debbie asked, perrie nodded and carefully placed Oakley in Debbie's arms. "She's beautiful" Debbie smiled, "just like her mum" Alex added smirking at perrie who gave a small smile in return, "do you two mind staying with Tabitha and Oakley whilst we go for a little walk?" Alex asked "of course, take as long as you need" Wendy smiled, "thanks mum" Alex said before grabbing perries hand and leading her out the door.

As Alex closed the door behind them he put an arm around perrie, "What's wrong sweetheart?" He muttered, perrie shrugged and looked down at the floor. The couple continued to walk until they got to the small room at the end of the corridor, it was mainly used for families that just wanted some time to themselves and when Alex and perrie got there it was empty much to their happiness. They sat down on the sofa and Alex placed his arm around perrie as he pulled her closer to his side, "Pez, please tell me what's wrong babe" Alex pleaded. Perrie took a deep breath before a few tears fell from her eyes, "I feel like I've let her down" she whispered, "let who down?" Alex asked clearly confused by the situation, "Oakley, is it my fault that she needs the oxygen? If I'd have just said yes to the emergency Caesarian then she's be fine wouldn't she?" Perrie cried into his chest. "No, no, Pez. It's not your fault, she's fine, your decision didn't change anything, she's healthy and the oxygen is just helping her a little bit, you know that" Alex exclaimed. "Alex I just want to go home" she continued sobbing as he held her close, "I know baby, me too" alex sighed kissing perries forehead. "How long is she going to be in there?" Perrie asked through the tears, "I'm sure it won't be long, we can ask the nurse on our way back ok?" Alex suggested, perrie nodded her head as she wiped her tears and smiled weakly. "How do you feel?" Alex questioned, "tired" she sighed. "How about we head back and perhaps get our mums to look after Teej whilst you have a sleep and I watch Oakley?" Alex asked, perrie nodded before standing up and taking Alex's hand.

They didn't see the nurse on the way back to their room so Alex decided he would go and ask about Oakley later in the evening. Alex walked into their room first with perrie staying very close behind holding his hand, she didn't seem in the mood to talk to anyone and she made sure to be looking down and covering her face with her hair. "Hey, could you two do us a massive favour?" Alex asked looking at Wendy and Debbie who both nodded, "I don't suppose one of you would be able to stay at ours with Tabitha and the dogs and then one of you bring us a change of clothes and some pyjamas back here" he asked. "We'll both stay at yours, Debbie was meant to be staying with us anyway, and one of us will pop some clothes back up here for the two of you later" Wendy smiled softly. "Right Tabitha, grab your coat and anything that you've got here with you, say bye to your mummy, daddy and sister and we'll be off" Debbie smiled. Tabitha put her coat on and ran over to the incubator to say goodbye to her little sister, she then went over to Alex and wrapped her arms around him, "bye daddy" she smiled, "goodbye princess, sleep well, see you tomorrow" alex replied. Tabitha them walked to perrie and wrapped her arms around her, "bye mummy" she smiled again, "bye baby" perrie sighed.
Wendy then walked over to perrie and gave her a warm hug whilst Alex was talking to Debbie about the dogs, "are you okay love?" She asked, perrie nodded slowly but it wasn't enough to convince Wendy. Then perrie had to face her mum. Debbie walked over to her, "I'm proud of you baba, you've got two gorgeous girls now and the man who loves you so dearly, I'll see you tomorrow or later" she smiled hugging perrie tight, "bye mam" perrie hardly whispered.
