There was not a thing that existed in this life that you despised more than dealing with sick people.
It's not that you hated sick people, or that you yourself didn't want to get sick, but being faced with the issue that someone was not well could be a bit overwhelming.
You pursed your lips, closing your eyes, and debated on what your next move should be. It's been a while since you've had to take care of someone besides yourself.
Let's wake him up first and see how he feels, you thought. And then I'll take his temperature.
"Tae," you murmur, putting a hand on his shoulder, "wake up."
Taehyung scrunched his eyebrows, frowning. He didn't wake up.
You gave his shoulder a little squeeze, and when that didn't do anything, you began shaking him ever so slightly. After a minute or so, his eyes began to open slowly.
"Mmmm," he murmured, his eyes half-open. "Wah?"
"How do you feel?" You retracted your hand to put it on his forehead once more. He was still burning.
"Sleepy," he responded, yawning. "I go back to sleep."
He closed his eyes once more and began snoring softly, his breath slow and steady. You purse your lips once more, and decided to try and bring down his fever.
Walking into your bathroom, you opened a drawer and grabbed a small hand towel. It had a blue and green stripped pattern, and you put it under the running water of the faucet. When it was completely wet, you turned off the faucet and wrung it, taking out the unnecessary water.
You brought it back with you into the living room and folded it once into a rectangular shape. Putting it on Taehyung's forehead, you watched as he squirmed slightly under the cool towel's touch, before opening his eyes once more.
"You awake now?" You patted his forehead a couple of times.
"Yah," he smiled, his white teeth almost blinding you. They almost always do.
"How do you feel?" You sat down across from him, crossing your legs.
He yawned before replying, "Heavy."
"Your body feels heavy?" You stand up and walk into the kitchen, opening a cabinet.
It was full of all types of medication, ranging from those specifically prescribed to you to over-the-counter Tylenol.
"Yeah," he said, "and achey. I also am tired."
"Okay," you murmur, taking the Tylenol into your hands, and back into the living room. You sat down across from him as you explained what was going to happen next. "It sounds like you just have a fever and some body aches so I'm going to give you some Tylenol. It should make you feel better."
He nodded slightly, the towel in his hand. You retreated back into the kitchen and returned with a cold glass of water in your hands, a little less worried.
If it was just a fever, Taehyung should be fine. He'd been wearing that towel for a little while now and Tylenol should help bring it down furthermore. But just to be safe, you'll take his temperate after he takes the pills.
Handing him the glass, Tae popped two pills in his mouth and grimaced before swallowing them down with the water. "Thank you."
"No problem," you replied, checking the time on your phone. It was barely 10:03 A.M. He would be able to take another dose of Tylenol around 2:00 P.M.
You sighed, glancing over at the drowsy man next to you. The Tylenol was starting to take effect.
"Wah, Y/N," Taehyung muttered, "it's too hot in here." He sat up, and pulled his sweatshirt over his head, causing his hair to go in different directions.
