Peter stared at Maxwell hidden beneath his villainous persona. A stand off like in a old western movie, May would play them for Peter on Friday nights in the fifth grade.

"I recognize that voice, spider."

Peter shivered and honestly stated, "I don't recognize the man in front of me."

"Parker...Peter Parker. You brought this hell into my life. You want to know how I know who you are? Word travels fast in jail and someone had some sympathy for me because he had a similar run in with a high school boy who screwed up his plans."

"Vulture," Peter whispered to himself.

"Exactly right," he sent a electrical current through the metal roof top which caused Peter to fall onto his back.

"I only did it for Sophia," he gasped out.

"This might come as quite of a shock to you Spider-Man but that girl happens to be my daughter."

Peter groaned to himself as his shoulders went slack, laying his head back on the ground,"again?"

"What," Electro questioned from across the rooftop.

"Forget it, forget it. Yes it is very shocking, I caught the pun you threw at me." With that Peter rose to his feet,
"It really surprised me, I'm very tangled up in my thoughts now."

With that Peter slung a web that lassoed around Electro's body, tightening as it touched his warm, metal suit. He let out a bellowing laugh, "very clever boy."

The web around him quickly melted onto his suit and seeped onto the ground from the heat radiating off of him.

"Oh man," Peter whined as he watched his web disappear and decided to attempt hands on contact.

"You're no match against electricity," Electro proclaimed as Peter ran towards him. Touching the ground again to send a current of power from his body.

Peter jumped onto the ledge to avoid the electric current, "I don't want to hurt you! I just need you to go back to jail for the court case."

"Never," Electro shot a spark in Peter's direction as Peter immediately shot a web to move out of the way.

"I'm doing this for Sophia, she needs closure. We need the judge to determine what's right for your future."

Electro stared coldly at Peter, who was perched on top of a generator unit, "You don't get it, Spider. There is no future for Sophia and I! I hurt her, everyone knows I hurt her. She has the scars to prove it! I'm sentenced for twenty/five to life if I sit my ass down in that court. No one respects a man who deliberately abuses their kids."

Peter jumped out of the way before Electro's second spark hit him, he was jolted when he landed due to the roof still pulsating with Electro's current still active.

"She didn't do anything to deserve it. You should end up in prison for what you made her suffer through. Maybe I can't get you to go back willingly but I'm more than comfortable to drag your unconscious body there myself!"

Electro chuckled at the quivering boy and cut out the electricity on the roof, "you want a reason? Fine. She looked too much like her mother."

Peter shot a web out for a telephone wire and pulled himself up, as he was swinging towards Electro, the man intensified the electricity which caused Peter to let go of his web from the shock. Peter collided into Electro at full force and knocked them both off the roof top. They fell until their bodies broke the waters surface and sunk at a fast pace.

Peter found himself submerged in the Hudson River. The only sign of Electro below him was the fading brightness of his body. Peter swam to him trying to grab at his limbs to help pull him back to surface but Electro grabbed at Peter first.

He pulled his smaller body quickly to him, bending Peter's right arm behind his back, squeezing it tight with his superhuman strength until a crack echoed throughout Peter's head and body but was muffled by the depths surrounding them. Peter screamed and water seeped through his mask which made him silence the cries. The immense pain and lack of air sparked rage, he lunged his body forward, the weightlessness the water caused made it easier to then launch his body backwards to kick Electro in the groin. When the man released his arm in pain, Peter swam quickly to the surface.

Peter coughed as he crawled onto the pier, this moment feeling too much like his encounter with Vulture. He was slowly regaining his breath, when Electro's voice emerged from the surface of the water. The faded color of his skin was obvious along with sparks bursting out of his suit. His supposed ability to vaporize water before it even touches him seems to be no match to the quick submersion of them both. Now he is unfortunately malfunctioning, a tortured human inside this electrically powered core.

"Y-you messed with the wrong m-m-man, Spider. I will now crush you, you worthless bug." He stuttered as he approached Peter, his voice similarly sounding to a glitch.

Peter scrambled to his feet and held up his hands, "I don't want to kill you."

"Then this will be easy."

As Electro tried to summon the electric energy left in him, he glared at the nervous boy, Peter took this as an opportunity to run towards Electro and jump over him. The sudden movement tripped the man up and he stumbled backwards as he watched the hero leap. Peter shot a web out that wrapped around Electro's neck as they both fell onto the wooden ground. Peter held him in a web version of a head lock as he tried reasoning with him. He feared his broken arm would get the better of him so he pulled harder with his left arm to make up for the missing strength of the right; he tugged harshly, unbeknownst of his own strength.

"Listen to me, it doesn't have to be this way. I wanted to help Sophia. I didn't think it would've led to you being on trial. I was honestly hoping it was anyone but you."

Electro struggled to free himself, trying to melt the web but Peter stayed resilient just trying to get him to listen.

"I mean, you're her father. You're supposed to protect the ones you love, not make them feel guilty for your own personal faults. You were in an accident that lit up your world, no pun necessarily intended...but your vengeful actions turned Sophia's dark and cold. Please, hear me out, I just wanted the overall abuse to end. I didn't want to get into a custody battle. I got way too in over my head and for that I apologize but I think you should be the one apologizing to your daughter. You can hate Spider-Man all you want, I needed you to know my heart was in the right place, okay?"

Peter sat for a moment before he slowly released Electro. The man no longer wanted to fight against Peter, he laid there on the pier in between Peter's legs.

"So does that mean we're cool?"

Peter waited for a reply, trying to get a better look at Electro. His skin was cold, his color faded completely; He looked like a ghost.

"Oh no," Peter crawled around so he could examine his face "KAREN is he dead?"

KAREN scanned his face as numbers popped up in Peter's vision to signify the man's bodily rates. His heartbeat showed zero,
"I'm afraid so Peter."

Peter felt his own heart race as he stood up immediately, "No." he whimpered as he stared at the motionless corpse.

"The water did most of the internal damage, Peter. You just cut out the last few breaths he had."

Peter tore off his mask and sobbed as he stumbled away from the body, soon falling onto the ground. He was completely shell shocked, he just killed a man. He has never killed someone before. This feeling is so overwhelming. He cried into his hands for the mistake he has made.

"I didn't mean for this to happen. I didn't want to do this," he hyperventilated out a mantra of pleas.

As he laid on the ground in his wrecked state, his mask let out the faintest beep while laying aside him. Internally KAREN picked up on the distressed signal Peter had let off and had taken matters into her own hands, well lack there of...

"Now summoning Tony Stark."
