Sam's POV
(Seven hours later)
"Get this, these djinn could be part of the same grouping of hybrid we hunted before. See we killed them in Topeka, maybe the rest of the pack got scared and fled north to Holton."
I said showing a map of the murders that could connect to the ones in Topeka.
"It's unlikely, but possible. Do you think Kenna is ready for this kind of gig?"
Dean asked as he took a closer look at the map..
"She grew up on the streets, fighting for her life. She's ready for this, I can feel it."
I said with a reassuring grin.
Castiel walked into the room just in time to keep Dean from asking any more questions.
"Sam, Kenna needs your help for a second. Somethings wrong with her shower."
Cas said awkwardly.
I rolled my eyes and followed Castiel into Kenna's room where she was sitting on her bed.
She looked up at me but swiftly looked down again.
Cas checked to see that Dean didn't follow us before shutting the door and squinting at us.
"Does Dean know about her?"
A pang of nervousness hit my chest, but we shook our heads.
"Are we gonna tell Dean about her?"
We, again, shook our heads.
Castiel rolled his eyes and held his forehead.
He took what seemed to be a metal bracelet and snapped it onto Kenna's wrist.
He said something in enochian and the bracelet lit up for a split second before fading.
Kenna gasped.
"Deleo!"
She yelled holding her hand up to the silver bracelet.
What looked like lightning came from her palm, striking the bracelet, but it seemed to have no effect on it.
"What the hell is this?"
Kenna asked studying the silver thing.
"It's a magical dampener. It's angelic magic, so your spells won't do any harm. Until one of you decides to tell Dean about your abilities, that thing stays on."
I wasn't too upset by it.
I didn't want her using her magic around Dean anyway.
"You're not my dad, Castiel. You can't just take the thing that makes me me away from me."
Kenna said annoyed.
She looked at me for help, but I shrugged.
"This is a good thing. You said that if you saw someone get hurt you wouldn't be able to help yourself. Now you don't have a choice."
She groaned loudly as Cas left the room.
"What if I'm in danger? I could die."
I shook my head.
"Don't play weak. I know how strong you are. Crowley told me everything."
Kenna rolled her eyes, knowing I was right.
She grabbed her backpack and pushed past me.
I sighed loudly and followed after her where we met up with Dean in the library.
We gave each other small smiles and headed up the bunker stairs.

Kenna's POV
We pulled up to a motel just outside of Holton called 'The Cats Meow'.
The sign to the place was a half lit neon pink cat smoking a cigar plastered on it.
"Well that's...classy?"
I said giving Castiel a bit of an annoyed glance.
"I know it's not great, but its the only one for miles and I need some sleep."
Dean said parking the car.
"Dude it's a hookers motel!"
Sam exclaimed with wide eyes.
"Pfft no it's not."
Dean said trying to convince himself more than trying to convince Sam.
As the words slipped from his lips, a woman wearing nothing but lingerie and fishnet stockings walked by, her arm linked through the arm of a drunken man in a suit.
"Well, beats driving. I hope they're quiet."
Dean said with a breathy chuckle.
I rolled my eyes and exited the vehicle being careful not to slam the door.
We grabbed our things from the trunk and walked inside.
Dean got us a really nice room.
There was separate beds and a fully working bathroom, and honestly?
I expected a lot less.
Given the elegance of the motel, this was likely the nicest room in the joint.
"Not bad. I would have preferred non-zebra wall paper, but not bad."
I said sarcastically.
"So I'm exhausted. What are the sleeping arrangements?"
I asked before throwing my things on a table.
Sam sat on one of the beds and thought for a second.
"I guess I'll take you tonight and tomorrow you'll bunk with Dean."
I was about to agree, but hesitated.
"What about Cas-"
"I don't sleep."
He said answering my question before I even got to finish it.
"Well alrighty then. I call the bathroom."
I said, grabbing a large shirt and shorts before walking towards the bathroom.
I brushed my teeth and braided my hair before putting on my sleep clothes.
When I came out, Sam and Dean were already relaxed in their bed.
Sam smiled at me and went to change himself.
"Don't take too long conditioning, Sammy."
Dean mocked Sam.
He gave him a look and called him a jerk before slamming the door.
"AND DONT USE ALL THE HOT WATER!"
He yelled jokingly.
I couldn't help but laugh a little.
After a while Sam walked out of the restroom, sheathed in a cloud of steam.
He had some flannel pajama pants on and his hair was wet and sticking to his forehead and cheeks.
"Awwwe. My little boy looks all ready for bed!"
I said mocking him using a baby voice.
A smile spread across Sam's face as he slicked his hair out of his face.
Dean gave us an annoyed look.
"So she makes fun of you and it's cute, but when I do it I'm a dick?"
Sam scoffed at his remark.
"Dean she's my fifteen year old daughter. YOU are my thirty seven year old dickhead brother."
Dean gave him a sarcastic 'haha' before pulling the cover over his head.
Castiel turned on the tv and put on some weird cooking show for children.
Sam smiled towards the blue eyed angel before turning off the light and climbing into bed.
"You know. I haven't had to share a bed with anyone since I was like ten."
I whispered looking into my fathers eyes that were almost identical to mine.
"Really? Who'd you share it with?"
He whispered back.
I reminisced in my memories.
"A little boy named Atticus. I miss them, Sam. It's only been a day and I miss them."
He looked at me with sadness in his eyes.
"I'll tell you what, in a week, when we're done with this hunt, you should go out to dinner with them and stay at their place for the night."
I nodded softly and booped his nose with my finger.
"Night."
He whispered with a smile.
"Night...dad."
I whispered before turning over on my side, drifting into sleep.
