Cerise's POV
My eyes are red and puffy from crying. Its already Monday yet I'm not preparing myself for school.
I just can't believe that Hailey, my very first friend... died.
This tragedy just reminded me of my horrible past...

"Hailey! Hailey! Let's play hide and seek!" Shouted a girl with twin braids. She ran back to her home, only to see her friend reading a book on the sofa.
"But I'm busy reading, Cerise. Maybe next time." Hailey said casually.
"Please pretty please!" Cerise said while using her puppy eyes to deceive the girl.
"Fine." The girl said with a smile plastered on her face.
The two girls went to a nearby forest, also their 'playground', where their happy memories grew. The girls played 'rock, paper, scissors' and Hailey won.
"You're it!" She said with a smirk.
"You won't find me easily, Cerise."
The other girl faced her with determination present on her face.
"We'll see."
Cerise started counting.
"1"
"2"
"3"
"4"
"5"
"6"
"7"
"8"
"9"
"10!"
"Ready or not here I come!"
The kid opened her eyes, only to see trees. She started walking stealthily, her eyes and ears open.

An hour already passed and Cerise still didn't find her friend, Hailey.
This caused the girl to become very worried, yet not scared.
She walked deeper into the forest, trees towering over her. The sky also started to get darker, making Cerise walk faster, then ran.
"Hailey! Hailey! Where are you? If this is a prank, it's not funny."
"Hailey!"
"Anyone?"
"I guess I should turn back now and go home" She said with a sigh.
