Song: Scars to your beautiful

Aphmau's POV

"Aphmau! get your lazy butt down here and get to school!" Mom yelled.

I ran downstairs and headed into the kitchen.

"WHAT do you think your doing?" mom asked.

"Getting breakfast...." I muttered.

"What have I told you about talking!? NOT allowed! Now get to school!" Mom yelled and practically shoved me out the door.

I ended up bumping into a boy with a red jacket and a bandana over his eyes.

"watch where your going!" he growled.

I just walked away silently.

"LOOK AT ME WHEN IM TALKING TO YOU!" he yelled.

Silence.

As he walked towards me with a scowl on his face I shoved past him and ran to school.

When I got to school I sat in the shade of a tree and pulled up my black hood and used my hair to cover my left eye.

I pulled out my notebook and pen and wrote at the top.

Day one.

Cuts from yesterday are still bleeding.
Pain won't go away.
Almost got in a fight.
Mom won't let me eat, yet again.
I'm gonna have a lot of bullies this year.
No speaking.

I put my notebook in my worn out backpack and pulled out a different one that I'd use instead of talking.

I girl with red hair came up to me with a smile.

"Hi there! My name is Cadenza Zvahl! What's yours?" She asked

"Hi there! My name is Cadenza Zvahl! What's yours?" She asked.

Silence.

"You don't seem very talkative, but that's alright." Cadenza said and smiled again.

'I don't talk anymore.' I wrote down.

"Why is that? If you don't mind my asking. She asked.

Oh. My. Irene. This girl is prying. SO annoying.

"Would you like to be?" Cadenza asked.

'I don't need friends.' I wrote.

Total. Lie.

"Whatever your reasons may be, it's alright if you don't want to tell me. But just know that if you need someone to ask for advice, I'll be glad to help." She said smiling.

I just rolled my eyes and waited for her to go away.

Just then a boy with brunette hair walked up to where we were.

"Hey Cad! Who's this?" He asked.

"I don't know. She didn't tell me her name, which is okay. After all, she seems new here and I won't push her to say anything." Cadenza said.
