My eyes were glued to him as he sneaked his arm around Yoona and pulled her into a kiss. I felt my body go numb with the sight.

All the words I had before were lost and my thoughts slowly faded away. The little semblance of hope I held on to that they wouldn't be together has been shattered forever and I'm slowly being suffocated by the view of him gripping tightly onto her.

A sad feeling arises as I see them breaking away from the kiss and turn our way. I stood in front of Jae with my face buried against his chest.

"Please take me home." I mumbled against him. Both of his arms pulling me into the warmth of his body. "Come on." He lead me to his car and I let myself sink into the passenger seat as he got into the car.

"Who was that?" his voice suddenly breaking the silence. I hesitated on whether I should answer him truly or come up with a lame excuse.

"Just someone I know." the words came out of my mouth before I could even stop myself. He just shrugged his shoulders and kept driving.

"Do you want me to take you home?" his gaze searched for mine but I just kept it focused on my lap. My sight became blurred with tears but I couldn't even cry.

"Can you take me to your house?" It was a long time before I could even begin to speak and, when I finally did, the words came out all jumbled.

He stared at me with furrowed brows but didn't even try to ask me why. Instead he kept his gaze focused on the road as we were coming closer to his house.

"We're here." He walked around the car and opened the door for me. I gave him a small smile before coming out and following him to the door.

As I walked inside the house a warm feeling was felt inside me. One that hadn't been there since I started living with Yoongi.

My thoughts were interrupted by the sight of Jae right in front of me. "Are you listening?" and I became flustered at the touch of his hands on my face.

"Sorry, I was thinking." I said lowly and stared back at him. "Penny for your thoughts?" he grinned at me and I felt myself laughing at his words.

"I have a lot going on my mind right now." I found my mind wandering back to Yoongi and Yoona. A part of me hopes that he's thinking of me but I know that's not going to happen.

Why would he think of me if he has Yoona now? Maybe she will become his new girlfriend and I'll end up being replaced. Reality made my heart ache.

"Don't let yourself get hurt because of him." He said almost as if he read my mind and pulled me to his arms. He pulled me closer and I could smell his cologne.

My eyes remained closed as I rested my head against his shoulder. "I missed you, y/n." he placed his thumb over my chin and tipped it up to him. Tingles were felt under his touch as I gazed at his eyes glittering over the moonlight.

"I missed having you close to me after 10 years." His voice sounding deep as he leaned in. I became nervous at his sudden proximity and pushed him away.

His face fell for brief seconds before he regained his composure. "Come. I'll take you to my room and you can sleep there." His hand reached for mine as he pulled me to his room upstairs.

"Thank you." I smiled at him before opening the door and closing it right after he walked away. I let my body fall on the bed and closed my eyes before slowly drifting to sleep.
