There playing cards was my best friend Darien, and someone I hadn't seen in over a year.
Darien was pretty tall, but really skinny. He had thick curly brown hair and green eyes. A senior, like me.
The person across from him stood quickly.
"Why the fuck is he here?" She yelled, glaring. If looks could kill I'd 've been a pile of ashes on the wood floor.
She was 19 as of January, 5'2", and a fiery ball of anger. She was wearing her favorite pair of high tops, black leather with black laces. Red and white paint splattered holy black jeans. A black pitbull shirt, where the only place it was still stitched was the shoulders. The sides had been cut and tied into knots, with strips intertwining down the back. Her black wolf jacket was draped across her loosely. Her snakebite hoops shimmered, and eyeliner framed her piercing stormy blue grey eyes.
Emily Leigh Weeks. God my heart pounded when my bright blue eyes met her stormy ones.
Her look was as cold as ice, she could literally punch me in the face and it would hurt less then that look. The only thing that ever hurt more, well. I hadn't seen that in almost two years. It wasn't anger. It wasn't sorrow. It was utter betrayal. And it broke my heart
"All of you sit down." Hunter growled, coming from behind the counter. Adam sat at one table, Sam at another, me and James sat by Darien. She stood.
"No." Emily growled.
"Look I know you hate Jes-" Hunter started.
"Hate doesn't even begin to tell you the hell that bastard put me through," she roared, chucking her Mountain Dew can at my head.
Lucky for me, A, it was half full, and B, James has quick reflexes. He caught the can, but a splash of pale green liquor hit my chest, dribbling down my sleeveless white shirt.
"Aye no fucking throwing soda in the shop." Hunter growled. She pulled another can out of her sweatshirt pocket, cracking it open.
"I. Fucking. Hate. All. Of. You." She growled in between swallows of her second can.
"Except you and Darien," tilting her head towards Hunter.
"Well you're here so you're stuck with them." Hunter growled.
"Yay stuck with the person who ripped my life apart, my abusive ex, and my ex best friends. Joy." She growled.
"Emily. Believe me if I knew why the hell someone wants the five of you I would tell you. But I don't. All I know is your fucking principal called me and told me unless the five of you are together I can't let you go anywhere. Believe me. I know you have it out for Jesse. I don't even want to know what happened if it would make you hate someone you loved so much. I could see the passion in your eyes when you looked at him. And then everything changed. You guys avoided each other for weeks. And then during James's birthday you guys ran into each other. I've never seen such fucking anger in her eyes. And the pain in yours Jesse." Hunter said.
Emily just glared.
You guys have to stick together." Hunter growled from behind the counter.
I'm not going anywhere with a band of idiots, especially the fucking wolf in sheep's cloth-" she was interrupted by gunshots.
