I woke up with a jolt, and saw someone with a gun, standing over me.
"Emily!" I screamed, throwing my hands up. In a flash I felt Emily's knee connect with my ribs, a pair of scissors in her hand. She slashed out, ripping the gun from his house. She hit him in the head with the hilt, knocking him out. She flipped on the light.
She ripped off her fireball shirt and grabbed her skull sleeveless shirt. She pulled on her bra underneath it.
"Clip it Jess," she told me, turning. I hopped down, clipping it. She grabbed a large black backpack and slung it over her shoulder. I grabbed my shoes and followed. The four of them met us in the hall.
"They're guarding upstairs," Sam told us. She motioned us towards her room. The guy was starting to stir. She growled, and drop kicked him in the jaw. She popped out the screen helping us up.
That'd when we heard someone thump down the stairs. She took a handful of my shirt and pulled me close.
"Meet me at our swimming hole," she whispered, before shoving me towards the window. She tossed the bag out the window.
"Jess! Take it," She hissed over her shoulder. Darien helped me up. I silently swore as I bumped my shoulder into the frame.
"Lets go!" I growled, pushing everyone towards the back gate, throwing it over my good shoulder.
We took off. I went towards the river. I knew the twists and turns, even in the dark.
We sat. As the clock kept ticking, James, Darien and Adam ended up falling asleep, in the back of the cave about a quarter mile from our swim hole.
Sam stood at the mouth of the cave. He wanted to be as far away from me as possible.
"Sam look I know you hate me-" I started.
"No. Hate doesn't been begin to cut it. Because of you, you bastard, I lost my best friend. I still don't know what happened. She shut me out. And I lost everything. Because of you. So no. I don't just hate you. If I could literally go back to the day of your fucking conception I would happily do it because I literally loathe your existence." Sam spat. I ran my fingers through my hair.
"Sam I'm sorry. What do you want me to do." I growled.
"Tell me the truth!?" He growled. I saw the pain in his eyes.
"Sam stop I can't!" I cried.
"Why!?" He growled.
"Because he promised me he wouldn't say anything. And it's the only one he's kept to me," Emily barked, limping into the cave.
