Training was tough. 12-15 hours a day. 7 days awake. I haven't seen Emily sense the day he took her. And ever sense I couldn't help but want her.

Me and Sam got close after that. Because I had no one else. I woke up and the sun was streaming into our window.

"Roy, what time is it," I yawned.

"12." He called back.

"Why the hel-"" I started.

"By my count it's Thanksgiving," Sam yawned.
"Right about that boys," the professor spoke.

"Come on, breakfast," he said. We followed to the cafeteria. James was at the table, asleep again.

"What do you want for breakfast boys?" he asked.

"Chinese." James said half asleep.

"A cake batter milkshake and pizza," Sam chimmed in.

"Uh, Chesters chicken, jojos, and mozzarella sticks, Mountain Dew, brownies and Emily." I said. The last part slipped.

"Uh I'm not sure about that last request." His eyes darkened.

"Please." I growled.

"Show me, and the boys what you've been working on. If you master it, then we'll show you." He smiled.

"Done." I growled.

I practically ran to that room. I stripped. And MaryAnne walked in. I jumped. And before I hit the water, I saw her.

It felt like electricity ran through me. It hurt like something fierce. But then it started to feel good.

I expected to be surrounded by it. But I wasn't. I opened my eyes. I was inches above the water. And I was going up.

I knew what he was trying to get me to do. I had known for a while.

I floated up to the balcony, flipping over it.

Emily's hair was cropped short again, at her neck. The black tanktop she wore was loose, over baggy black jeans. The only jewelry she had were her earrings, lip rings and the black band on her middle finger, that I held the match to. She had lost a lot of weight.

She yanked me into a hug, throwing her arms around my neck. I wrapped my arms around her waist and lifted her up.

"I missed you," I whispered.

"I missed you too," she whispered back. I carried her to the lunchroom, our food was waiting.

"I'll be back. MaryAnne, stay With them." The professor growled.

I ate a mozzarella stick, pushing the rest towards her.
"Oh my god," she said, before inhaling it.

"I uh, don't eat much." She said, before continue to rip through chicken.

"To activite your abilities there's a trigger. For you, it seems like pride was yours. You like to show off," MaryAnne said to me. I nodded.

"Seriously. Try it again," she said. So I did. I stood up and jumped. But I didn't hit the floor. I hovered.

"And while you continue to practice, and to learn, you'll be able to fly forever if you want. The possibilities are endless really." She told me. Emily stood, wrapping her arms around me.

"That's enough MaryAnne," the professor growled, trudging in the room.

Emily did her best to hide behind me as he entered.

He scowled as she sank beside us.
